Why ASSET? A one of its kind, national level benchmarking test, ASSET provides feedback on real learning. Assessment of Scholastic Skills through Educational Testing (ASSET) pinpoints the academic strengths and weaknesses of students, giving them the exact picture of where they stand.
ASSET also helps improve the overall perspective of the school as it provides key insights to each stakeholder. It allows schools to benchmark themselves against their peers in the country and identify areas that require improvement. It also provides teachers insights into where exactly their students are weak compared to other students in the country or another section or school, so that remedial lessons can be planned and learning gaps filled.
ASSET allows schools to focus on initiatives like teacher training and provides concrete ideas to teachers regarding questions that can be used to improve assessment methods.
Note: Only schools registered through our EARLY BIRD OFFER receive this report.
Dear Principal, Greetings from EI! The ASSET results for Summer 2012 are out and we are happy to share the same with you. As you know, ASSET is a low-stakes test that assesses, not to identify toppers, but to help schools and students improve. It tests how well children have understood concepts underlying the school curriculum, not how well they remember facts mentioned in the textbook. ASSET tests for conceptual understanding across the CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE and State boards. ASSET is taken by over 350,000 students in over 1,000 private English medium schools every year. We do not directly compare schools because we believe that each school - like every student - is unique. However, we provide comparative data on a school’s performance, which includes: National Bechmarking - Classes National Percentile - Classes National Benchmarking - Sections Metro Benchmarking - Classes State Benchmarking - Classes Regional Benchmarking - Classes Year-on-Year Analysis - Batches Insights The performance of classes 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 have been better than the national average in English, Maths and Science. Class 4 - Maths, Class 5 - Science and Class 6 - Science have performed significantly better than in 2011. The performance of classes 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 have been better than the Karnataka state average in English, Maths and Science. Below National Average
National average is taken as 100%. The values in the table indicate performance as compared to the national average. E.g. If the class average in Science is 40% and the national average is 60%, then the table will show (40/60)*100=67%. If the class average is equal to the national average, it will show 100%. So, if the value is above 100%, it means the class has performed above the national average. Similarly, if it is below 100%, it means the class has performed below the national average. The last column shows the number of students who took ASSET tests for that class from your school.
