he second largest residential property on the Pearl Valley Golf Estate has come onto the market exclusively through Pam Golding Properties (PGP), offering a rare opportunity to acquire a consolidated double plot in this sought-after secure environment. Situated between Paarl and Franschhoek, Pearl Valley was opened in November 2001, and comprises 500 properties scattered around an award-winning golf course, of which just over 300 have already been developed. The estate has developed into a fully matured, close-knit community, dominated by families with children of school-going age, and it is clear that this environment holds farreaching appeal.” This appeal is reflected in the estate’s sales figures – well over R100 million worth of property transactions were registered in 2012. Prices ranged from R2 million for a 1 200 m²
vacant erf to R5 million for smaller homes, around R9,5 million for larger family residences, with some top-end properties selling for up to R15 million. (Figures include sales across all agencies as well as private sales.) Greenhalgh says the current level of enquiries suggest that this upward trend should continue into 2013. The new PGP mandate located on the double plot is a plantation-style home with a unique Spanish-American inspired design theme and distinctive custom-made fittings.
