Stevninghus has its own water supply. The quality of drinking water and the lake for swimming is tested regularly. There is a huge solar system that provides the hot water to the showers for our campsite guests. Our 14 buildings have a computer based regulation of heating. We run our heating system on wood pellets. Its simple and working well. The recycling system for garbage is not so advanced but still working well.

Catch your fish and prepare it in 3 different ways
The estate has over a long time period been run as an organic farm, with once or twice harvesting grass. The landscape has changed and we have now more different frogs and birds then ten years ago. Along ?Jagtstien? (The hunting path) we let the forest take care of itself. Many trees fall for the storms and now its like a rainforest or jungle. We always try to think of how to save energy in all that we buy and do.
To reduce our use of energy. To provide solar power to the 3 decentralised toilet buildings. To find another solution for Holmgaard which still has an oil stove.
