A capacitor is an electric component that is able to store electric charge. A parallel plate capacitor is composed of two parallel conductive plates that are placed close to each other. When connected to a power supply the inside surfaces of the plate are charged with equal and opposite charges. The charge on each plate is proportional to the applied voltage: đ?‘„ = đ??śđ?‘‰
