AGRICULTURAL LIGHTING FACADE: FOOD PRODUCING OFFICE BUILDINGS Master Thesis Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ferdinand Ludwig, extern consultant Mariana Yordanova Professorship of Green Technologies in Landscape Architecture Technical University Munich
Individual work
The Master’s Thesis examines the application of Agricultural Lighting Facade (ALF) for office buildings. There the question is answered how the coexistence of everyday office life and eatable plants cultivation can be optimally designed. Based on extensive research, different designs and application scenarios are developed. A prototype on a 1:1 scale enables the study on an ALF Module to be visualized and tested in practice. The acceptance of the different ideas is evaluated on the basis of a survey.

Aesthetic Lighting
Vertical Farming
The second part of the work represents a concrete application scenario. On the example of the O2 Tower in Munich aesthetic lighting in combination with working hours, yield and consumption of salads are studied. The results show that the yield of salads is much higher than the consumption of office users, which means that several scenarios of consumption and application of ALF can be applied. QUARTER ON OBVODNY CHANNEL WITH DEVELOPMENT OF MULTIFUNCTIONAL MUSEUM CENTER Bachelor Thesis Dozent Konstantin Kolodin Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering
Individual work
The design site is located on Obvodny channel near the Neva River. But currently, there is no access to the water for pedestrians. A multi-lane highway passes along the channel and the river. The project proposes an artificial channal, which continues the historical channel (so-called «Kovsh») the Neva River, with development of public spaces along it. The islands formed by new and old channeles include historical buildings and are designed as a public multifunctional cluster, a new center in the polycentric system of the city. A multifuctional museum center is situated on the Neva River. It includes a Museum of Ecology, a Museum of Water, an educational center, offices, cafes and small shops. The design of the building reflects ecological principles. Two green squares are located between the buildings of the complex and united two parts sepeated by the avenue. The buildings have green roofs with solar panels and a variety of public terraces.

COLLECTIVE HOUSING FORMS OF THE FUTURE: LIFE CIRCLE IN ONE BUILDING Subject: Urban Living Concepts Dr. Philipp Molter, Workshops with BMW Mini and Detail Magazin Technical University Munich
Group work
A community lifecycle with residential modules of different sizes from 15m2 to 74m2 for different target groups. The private housing modules are arranged in clusters to form communities. Young people then live together with the disabled, and older people together with families. All groups should benefit to the fullest extent possible from the cooperation without disturbing each other with their different activities or interfering too much in each other’s private spheres. In the centre of the building there is an open atrium that connects all the clusters and floors and serves as a common centre, and which creates the feeling of a village square. The design appears, thanks to the relatively traditional private living units within the overall structure, which are supplemented with communal uses, as a feasible model for a high population density with a low per capita square footage and at the same time high living quality. UNIVERSITY CAMPUS ON AN ISLAND IN VENICE Young Architects Competition Dozent Konstantin Kolodin Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering
2017 Team work
The main idea is to create a symbolic image of the campus as a high-grade vanguard cultural center of science and art. The center will be designed to create a prestigious location for scientific and educational activities and to provide training of thousands of professionals who will come to Venice to study. Campus is created as an ecological island, included in a single system ÂŤSCIENCE + NATURE + ARTIFICIAL ENVIRONMENTÂť. The structure of the planned campus includes university buildings, premises of the Auditorium Hall, buildings and facilities of service, dining room and the restaurant, university administration building with exhibition spaces, library, sports complex, a hotel for guests and visitors of seminars, forums and formal events, a complex of dormitories for students and apartments for teachers, parks and boulevards, velopoliten.

SYMBIO PLAYGROUND OFFICE FOR INTERACTION
2019
Subject: Project_The Office by a Chair of Building Technology and Climate Responsive Design Partner of 3XN Architects Kasper Guldager Jensen, Prof. Thomas Auer 3XN Architects Copenhagen, Technical University Munich
Team work
Homogeneous contemporary office spaces do not encourage informal interaction, communication and multidisciplinary exchange. Placing the “playgroung for office workers into an existing office will shape the behavior of workers towards the development of a more collaborative working environment. Different levels of communication in the office were studied in the project. Then nine unconventional spaces for different kinds of interaction were created. Two spaces were tested in a model 1:1 separately and combined in three layouts to test different height interaction. After the testing phase, four spaces were chosen for the design phase. Providing different functions in themselves, they give even more possibilities for interaction in different combinations.

Lounge The Lounge is a landscape with different heights for sitting, standing, leaning, laying and climbing up to the next level.
Cave Slanted surfaces offer space for face to face communication with different non-sitting body positions.
Swing The panels on different levels are movable and can surve as tables and chairs for informal spontanious meetings.
Nest Standing or sitting facing one another on the same height interaction encourages coherence and collaboration.

MODULAR AUTONOMOUS HOTEL FOR DRIVERS Project while working in the company Ltd «ANTEY», Saint Petersburg
December 2017-February 2018 Individual work
Nowadays, when distances cease to exist, we propose expanding cities by means of completely self-contained suburban settlements built with the use of a new «SIL» technology. Project of a modular hotel is created for a comfortable rest after a long travel. The energy-efficient eco-friendly hotel provides all conditions necessary for resting. A unique design of the hotel and capsule rooms with their smooth interior lines cause the feeling of staying in the insulated spaceship cabin. Built-in wc, cabinet, tv, unlimited access to wi-fi, refrigerator are available in single rooms. Capsules may be arranged in different ways depending on their sizes and characteristics of the land plot.

OBJECTS DESIGN Designing and developing something in 1:1 scale is very important for an architect. In my free time, I am trying out design of objects. The lamp is easy to transport and to assemble and disassemble, it creates a warm atmosphere in the evening.

PHOTOGRAPHY Photography has always been my hobby. It is a way to understand urban environment, the interaction between people and architecture. Since 2013 I have been an active member of the association of photographers of Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering and regularly take part in different exhibitions.
