All the electrical components are divided into two groups:1) Active elements:The electrical elements which provides energy for the operation of the circuit are called Active Elements. e.g. Voltage and Current source 2) Passive elements:The elements which depends on active elements for their working are called Passive Elements. e.g. Resistors, Inductors and Capacitors
