Cheese Straws
Adapted from a Watts family recipe found in the Elmwood estate kitchen 1lb shredded New York cheese (or sharp cheddar) 1 stick butter 2 cups sifted flour Pinch of red pepper (or Tabasco) 1/4 teaspoon salt Grind in a food chopper. Line cookie pan and cut into narrow strips. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.
