In astronomical terms, a star is a massive, self- luminous sphere of gas. It is a celestial body held together by its own gravity and is visible from Earth as a luminous point in the night sky. Much like the findings of astronomy, the characters of a writing system are held together by its laws and rules as well as cultural traditions, form, and content. Thus, they form a whole (body) that is variable in itself.
