A BOAT SHOP WILL PROVIDE A SPACE TO EXPAND STEAM AND HANDS-ON EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMING FOR LOCAL STUDENTS - PROGRAMING THAT MAY LEAD TO DIRECT EMPLOYMENT OR ENABLE FURTHER EDUCATIONAL ADVANCEMENT.
A WORKING BOAT SHOP WILL PROVIDE EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMS, SEMINARS WITH MASTER CRAFTSPEOPLE, AND MUSEUM CLASSES.
SEEING UP CLOSE HOW BOATS WERE BUILT AND THE CRAFTSMANSHIP THAT MAKES THEM COME TO LIFE CAN DEMONSTRATE THAT ALL PARTS OF ANTIQUE BOAT OWNERSHIP ARE FUN, REWARDING, AND ATTAINABLE
