Our Story With a vision aimed at generating jobs and economic development in Mazatlรกn and Sinaloa, our group was formed in November 1972. Don Julio Berdegue, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors, inaugurated El Cid with a Country Club and nine-hole golf course. Over the years, the course has grown to 27 holes, nine of which were designed by Lee Trevino, a globally recognized golf personality.
The fundamental principles are to: -Improve the quality of life for El Cid employees and their families, primarily in the areas of health, education, and housing. -Promote environmental education and conservation of our environment to reduce pollution and protect our natural resources. -Support non-profit institutions and non-governmental organizations that are committed to social welfare projects. -Promote, advise and support the development of small family businesses to increase their household economies.
