Cursó sus estudios de Bachillerato en la Universidad Interamericana de Aguadilla en Sistemas de Oficina, con dos menores en Recursos Humanos y Desarrollo Empresarial y Gerencial. Dos años más tarde realizó una maestría en Administración de Empresas con concentración en Finanzas. Desde su temprana edad se unió a la fuerza laboral, siendo Yogen Früz uno de sus primeros trabajos, donde curiosamente su actual negocio se ubica justo al lado de este. También trabajó en la Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito de Rincón donde pudo adquirir su experiencia en servicio al cliente. Mientras estudiaba y trabajaba, liberaba el estrés del día confeccionando accesorios para ella.
No fue hasta el 2018 que surgió su emprendimiento en la bisutería. Todo comienza al publicar en Instagram varias prendas que había confeccionado para ella como un pasatiempo. Recibió varios mensajes preguntando el precio, y en ese momento pudo ver la oportunidad de un ingreso extra mientras disfrutaba de su pasatiempo favorito. Para su sorpresa le fue muy bien. Así continuó por dos años, hasta que su negocio ya había crecido bastante, y le puso por nombre, Shines by Natalie. El nombre se basa en la palabra en Shine que significa brillar. Una palabra que capta mucho su atención ya que ama el brillo, y porque brillar es una palabra que motiva y anima a ser luz donde sea que estés. Al sumergirse más en el mundo de la bisutería, vio la necesidad de crear un negocio de materiales de bisutería en Rincón. Un pueblo que alberga a tantas personas talentosas, artesanos y lugareños que se entretienen realizando manualidades. Sabía que en Rincón no había nada de esto y tenía Fé de que un negocio vendría bien. Las ventas no eran lo suyo, pero se le ha dado bien. Tal vez por su personalidad extrovertida o su experiencia en servicio al cliente. Desde pequeña vendía en la escuela pulseras y lazos durante el recreo, para tener sus ahorros. Durante sus estudios en Administración Mercadeo, dedicó más de un año en realizar un estudio de mercado sobre la bisutería y su demanda en Rincón. Es cuando decide dedicarse 100% a la bisutería. Comenzó vendiendo materiales desde las redes sociales a la vez que seguía vendiendo sus accesorios.Tanto fue la acogida que al mes ya estaba buscando un local en Rincón. Ahora, tres años más tarde existe Create Shines Beads Store y ofrece talleres básicos de bisutería para principiantes varias veces al año.
A través de este negocio han sido muchas las mujeres que se han acercado tratando de buscar un pasatiempo o buscando materiales para su negocio. La gratificación que siente cada día es ver crecer y servir de motivación a tantas mujeres a través de la bisutería. Ser una mujer empresaria es no conformarse en la vida con poco. Hacer de la bisutería un negocio es también compartir conocimientos y experiencias con los demás.
Otros pasatiempos que disfruta hacer es cantar en la parroquia Santa Rosa de Lima en Rincón, ver el atardecer frente a la playa con un rico açaí bowl y caminar. Pero, si pudiera tener un superpoder, sería brindarle a las niñas una mentalidad de empoderamiento desde temprana edad.

She completed her bachelor’s degree in Office Systems at the Inter-American University of Aguadilla, with two minors in Human Resources and Business and Management Development. Two years later, she completed a master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. From an early age, she joined the workforce, with Yogen Früz being one of her first jobs. Interestingly, her current business is located right next to it. She also worked at the Rincón’s Credit Union, where she gained experience in customer service. While studying and working, she released the day’s stress by making jewelry for herself.
It was not until 2018 that her venture into costume jewelry emerged. It all started by posting several accessories she had made for herself as a hobby on Instagram. She received several messages asking the price, and at that time, she could see the opportunity for extra income while she enjoyed her favorite hobby. To her surprise, it went very well. She continued like this for two years until her business had grown quite a bit, and she named it Shines by Natalie. The name is based on the word shine since she loves glitter and because shine is a word that motivates and encourages you to be light wherever you are.
She delved deeper into the jewelry world and saw the need to create a jewelry materials business in Rincón. This town is home to many talented people, artisans, and locals who entertain themselves by making crafts. She knew that in Rincón, there was nothing like this, and she had faith that a business would come in handy. Sales were not her thing, but she has been good at it, maybe because of her outgoing personality or her experience in customer service. Since she was little, she sold bracelets and ribbons at school during recess to save her savings. During her studies in Marketing Administration, she dedicated more than a year to conducting a market study on jewelry and its demand in Rincón. It’s then that she decides to devote 100% to jewelry. She began selling materials from social media while continuing to sell her accessories. She was so well received that within a month, she was already looking for a location in Rincón. Now, three years later, she exists at Create Shines Beads Store and offers introductory beading workshops for beginners several times a year.
Through this business, many women have come forward, trying to find a hobby or looking for materials for their business. Every day, she feels gratification seeing so many women grow and motivate so many women through jewelry. Being a businesswoman will not settle for little in life. Making jewelry a business is also about sharing knowledge and experiences with others.
Other hobbies he enjoys are singing at the Santa Rosa de Lima Parish in Rincón, watching the sunset in front of the beach with a delicious açaí bowl, and walking. Desde joven, ha sido una emprendedora de corazón, siempre buscando nuevas oportunidades para poner en práctica su creatividad y visión empresarial. Su mamá y sus abuelas fueron una influencia fundamental en su vida, mostrándole el valor de la bondad y la importancia de la familia.
El viaje empresarial comenzó con la venta de prendas y decoraciones, un mundo que le cautivó y llevó a la apertura de El Faldellín, una tienda especializada en artículos para bebés y trajes de bautizo. La maternidad y el deseo de crear experiencias memorables para sus hijas le impulsaron a aventurarse en la organización de eventos, desde bautizos hasta bodas, en los cuales pudo plasmar su pasión por la celebración y la belleza de los detalles. La oportunidad de trabajar en Rincón como coordinadora de eventos surgió durante una boda familiar en una villa privada. Quedó maravillada por la belleza del lugar y la posibilidad de crear experiencias únicas en un entorno encantador. La mentoría de Carlos Leizerowicz, propietario de la villa, fue fundamental en su desarrollo profesional, llevándole a fundar su propia empresa de coordinación de eventos, que floreció durante aproximadamente 15 años.
El compromiso con la comunidad va más allá de los eventos. Ha participado activamente en eventos de recaudación de fondos para mujeres maltratadas y niños desfavorecidos, canalizando su energía hacia la creación de impacto social positivo en su entorno. El regreso al área oeste después de muchos años, ya con sus hijas mayores, marcó un punto de inflexión en su vida. Experimentar la diferencia entre vivir en San Juan y en el área oeste fue revelador; fue como adentrarse en un estilo de vida completamente distinto. Es ahí donde vislumbra una nueva oportunidad en el mercado: el manejo de propiedades y lugares destinados a celebraciones. Y, junto con sus hijas, su mayor inspiración, fundó Private Villas Puerto Rico. Permitiéndoles ampliar su horizonte empresarial. Son años de experiencia en la industria de arduo trabajo y nos comparte estas palabras: “hay que estudiar, buscar asesoramiento, organizar las ideas y estar dispuestos a delegar responsabilidades en áreas donde no se tenga experiencia. Es fundamental rodearse de profesionales que puedan brindar orientación tanto en decisiones financieras como en otros aspectos empresariales. Sobre todo estudiar Administración de Empresas como base para comprender la gestión y el funcionamiento de un negocio. Mi superpoder radica en mi autenticidad: ser yo misma en cualquier situación, sin importar si es considerado correcto o incorrecto por los demás. Ser genuina y seguir mis instintos me ha llevado a donde estoy hoy, y es algo que valoro profundamente en mi trayectoria empresarial. Espero que mi historia sirva de inspiración para otras mujeres emprendedoras y que puedan ver que con pasión, determinación y trabajo arduo, cualquier sueño es posible de alcanzar. Her passions range from the immensity of the sea to exploring new cultures through gastronomy. She enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and exploring life’s simple pleasures, like playing paddle on the beach and skiing. Her mother and grandmothers were a fundamental influence, showing her the value of kindness and family.
Her business journey began with the sale of clothing and decorations, a world that captivated her and led to the opening of El Faldellín, a store specializing in baby items and baptism outfits. Motherhood and the desire to create memorable experiences for her daughters prompted her to venture into organizing events, from baptisms to weddings, in which she captured her passion for events and the beauty of the details. The opportunity to work in Rincón as an event coordinator arose during a family wedding at a private villa. She was amazed by the beauty of the place and the possibility of creating unique experiences in a charming environment. The mentorship of Carlos Leizerowicz, owner of the villa, was fundamental in her professional development, leading her to found her own event planning company, which flourished for approximately 15 years.
Her commitment to the community goes beyond the events. She has actively participated in fundraising events for abused women and disadvantaged children, channeling her energy towards creating a positive social impact in her environment. Her return to the west side after many years, now with her daughters being older, marked a turning point in her life. Experiencing the difference between living in San Juan and the west side was eye-opening; It was like entering a completely different lifestyle. Here, she saw a new opportunity in the market: the management of properties and reception places. And, together with her daughters, her greatest inspiration, she founded Private Villas Puerto Rico, allowing them to expand her business horizon.
There are years of experience in the industry of hard work, and she shares these words with us: “You have to study, seek advice, organize your ideas, and be willing to delegate responsibilities in areas where you do not have experience. Surrounding yourself with professionals who can guide financial decisions and other business aspects is essential. Above all, study Business Administration as a basis for understanding the management and operation of a business. Being genuine and following my instincts has led me to where I am today, and it is something I deeply value in my business journey.
