2017 ULTIMATE WINTER ROAD TRIP
Durham A little snow never stops a winter adventurer from taking advantage of Canada’s most famous season! Your seasonal adventure begins at Floyd Hales Fish Huts in Beaverton. For over 45 years, they have been providing a safe and comfortable winter fishing experience on the world famous Lake Simcoe. You’ll travel by Bombardier bus to one of 40 modern fish huts. These huts hold 4 to 6 guests and are well-equipped for comfort – not that you’ll be spending much time inside. With abundant winter sport fish like Lake Trout, Whitefish and Perch, you’ll want to make the most of your time on the lake. After a day spent fishing in the great outdoors, you’ll find everything you need to get warm at the Executive Residence suite at Grant House Bed & Breakfast. After a soak in the Jacuzzi, we suggest camping out in front of the fireplace to rest up for another busy day. If archery is your mark, check out Easthill Outdoors in Orono. The outdoor sports outfitter offers indoor archery lanes, as well as private and semi-private lessons. All equipment is provided for lessons, or you can bring your own. Next, drive east to connect with a network of pristine snowmobile trails that are maintained by the Ganaraska Snowmobile Club. This

A gift shop and reference library are on-site to complement the vehicles. If you’re hungry after touring the museum, consult the “Let’s Eat” guide to downtown Oshawa’s best restaurants and cafés and walk to your lunch destination!
