PEL Waste Reduction Equipment, operating from Balla, Co Mayo, was founded by Tommy Griffith in 2005. Inspired by a conversation with a nightclub owner who highlighted the expense in the storage and disposal of large volumes of bottles, Tommy set out to design and build a solution. The fully patented PEL bottle crusher, which reduces waste volumes and cost by up to 60% was born. Growing from a one man operation, PEL continues to innovate and bring new waste reduction products to market. These products are used across industries including the hospitality, healthcare, education, agricultural and commercial sectors in Ireland, the UK, Europe and the USA.
Aiden Corcoran, CEO, Horizon
Aiden Corcoran is co-founder, owner and CEO of Horizon, a specialist manufacturing engineering firm offering and developing solutions for clients nationally and internationally. An Engineering graduate from DIT Bolton Street, Aiden has worked for Hewlett Packard, Boston Scientific and Allergan Pharma. In 2010 along with partners, Aiden created Horizon, offering skilled resources to manufacturing organisations to meet both short and medium term engineering needs. Now offering services and resources nationally while growing internationally, Horizon aims to increase its workforce to 45 by 2015 and establish a foot hold in Europe and North America from its base in Westport and sub-office in Dublin.
Martin O’Hara, Director, O’Hara’s of Foxford
O’Hara’s of Foxford, family owned and managed since its foundation by Michael & Maureen O’Hara in 1951, is situated on a 65,000 sq.ft. modern production facility on the outskirts of Foxford, Co. Mayo. The company currently employs 160 staff on-site and is engaged in the production of bread and confectionery products distributed throughout Ireland. Martin O’Hara is a Director of O’Hara’s of Foxford and has worked there together with his family all his life.
Pat O’ Donnell, Vice President and Managing Director of Allergan Pharmaceuticals Ireland
A native of County Mayo, Pat holds a BSc. (Hons) in Microbiology from University College Galway and a Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Pharmaceutical Studies from the University of Brighton. He joined Allergan in 1980, and spent time working at Allergan’s Corporate Headquarters in Irvine, California before returning to Westport to take up the position of Quality Assurance Manager of Botox® in 1993. In 2005 Pat took over the position of Vice President and Managing Director of Allergan Pharmaceuticals Ireland. The Westport Campus employs over 800 people and supplies a wide range of pharmaceutical, biological and medical device products for global markets, including the global supply of Allergan’s most well known product, Botox®.

A presenter and former newsreader, Anne is one of the most recognisable faces in Ireland. Renowned for her wit and formidable skills in argument, Anne is best known as a long-serving newsreader for RTE having anchored the broadcaster’s main evening television news programmes for 33 years before retiring in December 2011. Anne holds a BA in English and History and a Higher Diploma in Education from UCD and, prior to joining RTE, worked as a librarian before joining the Department of Foreign Affairs as an executive in the Consular Service. Her interests include animals, literature, poetry, theatre and show business. She is also involved with AWARE, the national organisation supporting people with depression.
Pádraic Ó Máille, Creator of Smácht Pádraic Ó Máille is an acclaimed motivational speaker, a skilled facilitator and an inspirational writer on business issues.
