FUSE NOW HAS FOUR LOCATIONS

Fuse recently opened its fourth store at Canal Crossing in Brunswick, in front of Sam’s Club. Fuse is an original frozen dessert concept created in 2012 by St. Simons Island native Justin Henshaw and his wife Brie. Together they’ve built a local chain well on its way to becoming a national brand. Known for offering more than the typical frozen yogurt shop, Fuse offers frozen yogurt, gelato, sorbet, and smoothies or slush, depending on the location. Now with a fourth store, they’ve added even more with a brand new full serve frozen custard bar featuring frozen custard made fresh daily and churned right in front of you. LEWIS EARNS GRI TITLE

R. Don Lewis Jr. of Sea Island Properties, a Georgia Association of REALTORS® member, was recently awarded the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation. Don earned the GRI designation by attending a minimum of 60 hours of classroom instruction, covering a variety of subjects including: contract law, professional standards, sales and marketing, finance, and risk reduction. In addition, he learned the fundamentals of brokerage and other areas of real estate specialization. With this designation and through increased awareness of current topics important to the real estate professional, such as legal issues, Don can better serve prospective clients and customers. ANIMALS BENEFIT FROM ANNUAL SIDEWALK SALE

B&B Design and Consign is hosting its 7th Annual Sidewalk Sale and Pet Adoption to benefit the Human Society of South Coastal Georgia on Saturday, May 4th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Humane Society staff members will be present to introduce you to dogs and cats available to join new furever homes. All proceeds from the sale go directly to HSSCG. Your past support with B&B has helped raise over $7,000 to promote compassionate treatment of animals through adoption, spay/ neuter services, sheltering, and education. NEW HEAD AT FREDERICA ACADEMY

Frederica Academy has appointed Scott Hutchinson to be its next Head of School, effective July 1, 2019. Hutchinson has worked in independent schools around the country for the majority of his professional life. He is the founding head of two lower schools and one middle school, and he served for over twenty years as President at Webb School of Knoxville and Head of School at Renbrook School in Connecticut (his current position). Hutchinson graduated from Duke University where he majored in English and was captain of the soccer team. He earned a master’s degree in counseling from the College of William and Mary. Mr. Hutchinson has presented at both national and regional conferences around the country and has served as an accreditation chair in regional associations including the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS). LONG HONORED BY PGA

Head Golf Professional at The King and Prince Golf Club, Robert Long, recently was awarded the Georgia Section, PGA of America East Chapter Player Development Growth of the Game award, and recognized as the East Chapter Player of the Year. The PGA event was held at the Atlanta Braves’ Suntrust Park and recognized professionals from across the state. Before Robert joined the “Home of the Hampton Club,” he worked as a caddie at the Augusta National Golf Club, then began his PGA work at Champions Retreat in Evans, Georgia as an assistant golf professional, and, in 2013, moved to Sea Island Golf Club, furthering his experience to become a PGA Professional.
