ABOUT US “The details are not the details. They make the design.” - Charles Eames
Our Company
Element Designs was founded in 2003 by a group of American and Swiss individuals with a drive for innovation and healthy dose of entrepreneurship. We recognized the contemporary European trends in the casework industry and foresaw the need for a reliable supplier to the product demand that was positioned to arrive in North America. We are a trusted partner and supplier of aluminum, glass and acrylic casework components and surfacing materials to the leading kitchen, office and closet manufacturers in the industry.
Our Products
We began our company by manufacturing aluminum frame glass doors with a selection of design forward frame styles and glass inserts which naturally complemented a variety of residential and commercial interiors. Over the years our product offering has expanded to include PARAPAN® high gloss solid surface doors, backpainted glass products and aluminum frame base systems to meet the demands of our customers and to introduce new products which were well suited for the contemporary trends that were to come. We are proud to say that our products are made in the USA.
Our Passion
We are passionate about contemporary design and believe great design starts with great products. The difference is always in the details. We are driven to bring the best trends in casework and architectural design to the North American market based on European trends, but catered especially for North American preferences. We invest in research and development to create products and solutions to help drive innovative design in our industry.
Our Team
Our employees are our most important asset. Many companies may say it, but we live it every day. With the implementation of an inclusive management style, we count on our employees to provide constant feedback related to products and processes which continuously improve our quality and product offerings. Our dedication to our team has enabled us to build a world class group of team members whose primary focus is to make our customers happy. Our love for what we do translates into the best products and service in the industry.
Our Promise
We promise to always strive to exceed our customers’ expectations. We understand the importance of quality products and quick lead times, but we also realize that the true value of being a trusted partner of any manufacturer is to provide an excellent customer experience by listening to our customers’ needs and going above and beyond expectations to make sure we provide products and service that always add value to your projects and designs.

Backpainted Glass & Mirror inserts
The collection of profiles allows for a variety of design options that will showcase the aluminum frame, or hide it completely behind the door insert. The majority of the profiles accept standard 35mm euro hinges, with AF001 and AF008 designed for narrow frame aluminum door hinges. Profiles AF012 and AF013 are specially designed for the Salice Air hinge. All profiles accept a 4mm (5/32”) insert, and profiles AF008 and AF009 can accept a 6mm (1/4”) insert.
AF012
AF013
Most profiles secure the insert with gasket installed in the profile channel, and can be disassembled to change out the insert. Profiles AF006 and AF010 can only be used with an opaque glass insert because the glass is bonded directly to the frame.

sustainability “Aluminum’s inherently sustainable characteristics combined with the extrusion process make extruded aluminum the green building industry’s material choice for now and the future.” Reprinted with permission from the Aluminum Extruders Council Recycled Content All of our glass inserts contain at least 20% post industrial recycled content and the architectural resin uses a high percentage of post industrial material. Regional Suppliers Our products are manufactured with materials from regional suppliers thus reducing our carbon footprint. Exceptional Durability Our aluminum products have an extremely long life time and are virtually maintenance free. No VOCs Our aluminum, glass and acrylic products do not contain VOCs. Because no chemicals or toxins are released from our products, there is zero effect on indoor air quality. Our backpainted glass utilizes water based paint which is low in VOCs and is safe for the environment. Post Industrial Waste Recycling All of the waste generated during our manufacturing operations (primary materials such as aluminum and glass) is recycled. The aluminum extrusion is taken to a local metal recycling facility. Unusable glass is reused in asphalt production. Recyclability and Reusability Our aluminum, glass and acrylic materials are completely recyclable. Our aluminum doors can be reused rather than discarded by simply replacing components (new inserts for existing doors). Reclamation We offer a recycling service for all of our products once their useful life expires. Send your product back to us to be completely and properly recycled. Packaging Materials Our corrugated edge wrapping, which protects our products in transit, is made of 100% recycled cardboard and our corrugated boxes have a high recycled content. Company Recycling Both our company and our employees divert waste from our landfills whenever possible. We recycle all cans, glass and plastic bottles, office paper, paper products and cardboard at our manufacturing facility in Charlotte, NC, thus reducing our carbon footprint. We actively promote the importance of environmental responsibility and are proud to sponsor a recycling center for our industrial park.
