Sustain is a non-profit that offers an afterschool and summer learning program focused on environmental education experiences to prepare students for school, careers, and community in a low income neighborhood. The space is intended to promote performance and well-being through the aspects of bio-philic deisgn. Inspired by fractals and geometry of nature, Sustain incoporates these ideologies through ceiling and wall conditions. Sustain involves the youth and community through teaching how to grow, take care, and harvest their own foods. Not only is the non-profit a step in the right direction for low income homes, but a way for people to take charge of their own lives through confidence and knowledge gained from Sustain.

homeWORK takes a look into the hybrid work place focusing on the home side. Given the persona of a Facilities Manager to take into consideration while designing the spaces that would occupy work life at home. Dedicating a room on the second floor to signify a private quarters to get work done. While on the first floor it was taken into consideration as a social area if co-workers needed to stop by to discuss projects. The seating area is equipped with the technology to do so. Another consideration while designing for a facilities manager was a studio shed. The intention behind this would be for hobby related or work related projects.

The Grind The Grind is a cafe/remote work space designed for college students owned by a retired professor that occupies the living quarters above the establishment. The students work at the cafe when they are not doing school work or socializing. During the day the cafe is used as a quiet workspace for the students while they enjoy a nice cup of tea or coffee. The space helps direct these individuals focus on the progress of their education while building a sense of community. By designing a versatile space it can easily be used for studying and social aspects. The social side allows for entertainment, bonfires, various games, and enjoying the company of peers. The Grind is a way for students to feel welcome to relax and work or to have a thrilling evening.

Take Care Take Care is a telehealth facility aiming to prioritize the health and well-being of our clients through creating a welcoming environment and allows for easy access to all resources. Take Care caters to women, providing a whole body approach. The education, open office, and socialization areas allow for ample natural light and drop down pendant lighting occupies enclosed rooms. The design promotes a steady flow of circulation with the use of lighting, communial interaction, and involvment for all users.
