The new building features abstract rectangular prisms that align with the height of an inner street atrium. As it ascends towards the center, it harmonizes with surrounding structures while standing out as a prominent landmark, especially within the educational hub.

Constructed with a simple idea, utilizing frames and visible concrete slabs, the building is enveloped by a perforated shell of expanded mesh metal sheets along its perimeter. This shell not only provides bioclimatic shading and ventilation but also wraps around open terraces facing the public on the southern side for students’ use. These terraces are adorned with climbing plants, gradually transforming the building’s exterior into a green oasis, enriching both the interior environment and the cityscape.

The Municipal Theater in Derynia, Cyprus, is a project that aims to transform a building into a contemporary theater with a design concept divided into three parts: the entrance hall, the stage, and the dressing rooms/backstage area.

The entrance hall is designed to connect the indoor and outdoor spaces, while the auditorium features acoustic panels for optimal sound quality. The exterior is covered with a wooden structure that encompasses all three parts of the design.

The Green Community Factory transforms London’s urban landscape, utilizing the iconic Millennium Mills as its canvas. It addresses the city’s burgeoning population and active lifestyle by repurposing this historic structure into a space for large-scale food production and agricultural community engagement.

The program accommodates various cultivation scales, from small pots to aeroponic farming, fostering productivity and community involvement.

Through composting facilities and a marketplace, the project encourages participation in food waste recycling and agricultural education. Sustainable features, including rainwater collection and organic material utilization for watering, further enhance its eco-friendly footprint.

This Diploma proposes a ministry of city voices to promote direct democracy and citizen involvement in urban commons.

By activating the SOPAZ factory, a modernism ruin building as a space for art criticism and public-political discourse, the Diploma aims to highlight the voices of the city and promote direct democracy.

A new system of power distribution is proposed, recognizing art and city voices as main bodies of power management. This is in response to the increasing accumulation of modern ruins and the intensive use of social media as a means of expression.

The Diploma proposes a strategy of activating the ruin through the critical spatial practices of artistic groups, creating a model for managing modern ruins today.
