What’ s the relationship between Don and Sylvia like? How does it change from the beginning to the end of this story? What do you think it will be like in the future? The relationship between Don and Sylvia is very interesting because, in my opinion, they are still in love but until the end of the book they don’t talk about giving each other another chance and all time during the story each one is thinking about the other. Sylvia is still angry with Don because a year ago he chose to fly instead of staying with her and Judy. She is thinking about this all time and she has never forgotten the pain. Now she has another man in her life but she is still thinking about Don and doesn’t accept a marriage proposal from Patrick, a businessman. Don knows Sylvia’s pain and since the divorce, he is trying to recover the lost time with Judy, her daughter, and of course with Sylvia. Don hopes to get Sylvia’s forgiveness. At the beginning of the story, they are polite with each other but very distant. Sylvia can’t forget all the bad things and she tries to be only like a friend. Don loves Sylvia and he is very sorry but at this moment only wants to spend a lot of time with Judy. In the middle of the book, they start to remember the good things and they feel that they have been selfish, Don had chosen to be a pilot and she had never been patient. At the end of the story they have forgiven each other and they want to be a family again. She has been worried about Don and Judy and she has understood her feelings about him. In the future, they will be a happy family because they want to be together again. They could live in the farm and he could fly in a fumigation plane. Who has been your favourite character in this story? Give reason for your answer, including a description of that character. My favourite character in the story has been Judy because she is a very brave girl and she loves her father despite everything that has happened. Judy is a teenager, she is 14 years old and she has long dark wavy hair, tied back. She is pretty and she looks brown. She is a very friendly and adventurous girl. During the adventure she never feels very nervous or afraid and she is very intelligent: she remembers a lot of things about her school lessons, she handles wild horses, she makes a fish trap and catches fish, she lights a fire, she cooks, and she finds help… Write a different ending to the story. …when the helicopter landed, Patrick got out very fast with a couple of policemen and rescued Don and Judy. The bad men were imprisoned and the government gave them a great remuneration. All together, they came back home and a few months later Patrick and Sylvia married. With the money of the remuneration for having captured the villains, Don opened a school of flight called Paul Copeman, where Judy is working currently.
