Formature
Formature is the combination of formation and nature. The combination has been inspired by how we are adapting our buildings and every day living by everything surrounding us. This trend started off by looking at how solar panels are being used more frequently in modern architectural structures. Not only are they being used for their main purpose, but also as a design feature. Looking at L’institut de monde Arabe gave a further incite into this. The structure uses a collection of smaller solar powered lenses to let light and heat into the museum. This creates a design feature alongside a practical use with the building structure. Solar energy is just one example of how we are using nature to inspire our architecture. Artists Zaha Hadid and Jean Nouvel both use this idea to inspire projects. Following the recent Olympics in London 2012, Zaha Hadid has been chosen to create the National Olympic Stadium in Tokyo for the 2020 Olympic games. Her buildings are distinctively futuristic, characterised by the powerful, curving forms of her elongated structures with multiple perspective points and fragmented geometry to evoke the chaos of modern life. Jean Nouvel also uses what is around him to create his work. His latest design for the extension of the Louvre in Abi Dhabi is based around the natural structure of a leaf. Carefully selected areas of the ceiling have been removed in a leaf like formation. This allows the natural lighting to come into the building and create diverse and individual patterns all over the museum. Current designers are looking at new and innovating ways in which they can incorporate nature and their surroundings into modern architecture. From analysing this movement, it is evident that a prospective trend for 2016 is the fusion of nature and formation around us.

Naturology
Naturology is based on the process of future human evolution. The initial seed sparking this thought was the idea that animals are born with their own protective exterior, whilst humans are yet to develop such defense. How will a new consumer group emerge from this trend? Individuals who take pride in protecting their skin by using beauty products. Not only by hiding the noticeable problems on the surface of their skin, but by nourishing the hidden under layers that are not visible to the human eye. Celebrities, bodyguards and people that would need more protective clothing would find it beneficial. How will it be significant in the future?: In todays society we can see how protective clothing or protection that will be integrated into our body could be of benefit. There are so many wars around the world where soldiers and innocent citizens would find such protection advantageous. Fashion designers could be inspired by this trend to use protective clothing such as Kevlar and protective UV clothing , for sports or daily activities.Medical research could also be affected by this trend scientist Jalila Essaidi, who is working on bullet proof skin, an other example would be the combination of the jelly fish gene in an other animal, making them glow in the dark the result of this is helping researches finding a cure for Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. Pollution in 2016 would have increased and using protection in daily beauty products could help by nourishing the skin and protecting it from pollution.

Experinature
Experinature is the collaboration between scientific experiments and natural outcomes. Nature is an organic process which when left to its own devices can create a series of beautiful and unpredictable aftereffects. This process is also evident within scientific procedures. Although in today’s society it is an obsession to manipulate nature and science, it is more fascinating to witness how natural outcomes are formed, as we are less able to foresee what the final result may be. This could be a significant trend in the future as we see the emergence of individuals reverting back to more natural practices. The bridge between science and nature is beginning to shrink and although we look to science for rational explanations, science continuously looks to nature to retrieve a wider understanding of biological processes.
The trend Experinature began by observing how watercolours and magnetised ferrofluids interact with one another. The inks reacted in a completely spontaneous manner creating a mosaic of colour. Photographer Fabian Oefner captured a series of images showcasing the unpredictable aftereffects created from adding watercolours to magnetised ferrofluids and popping paint covered balloons. While this is not directly linked to nature the outcomes are without manipulation. The colours naturally blend together for less than a split second creating a firework like explosion.

Naturanic
Naturanic is the collaboration between Nature and Organic. Naturanic has stimulated from an idea of going back to our natural roots and contributing this idea towards our daily lives. Naturanic suggests that we are going back to using natural ingredients and herbs such as mint buds and vinegars to create various face, body and hair treatments at home instead of spending money on already made chemically created products. As a result this keeps people in touch with nature and earths natural goods instead of relying on non-organic/natural resources. Furthermore Naturanic supports an idea of going back to natural environment itself, for example exhibitions and restaurants are starting to be allocated in forests and extended gardens, as well as serving organic and homemade nourishments only. Natural ingredients such as tomato juice and yogurt have also been used in various art projects, which suggest that creative industries are starting to use natural, organic resources for their artwork and keeping it simple and minimal. Additionally restaurants are starting to serve insects for dinner, which suggests that we are facing natural resources from the ground itself. Naturanic also suggests that we are slowly taking steps back from technology and starting to use our own nude bodies as forms of art, influencing the ‘less is more’ perspective, artists and photographers are using less artificial lightening in photo-shoots, less fixed poses and more shots that seem to have been caught naturally. Naturanic states that society is overwhelmed with the expansion of new technology, latest equipment and is starting to aspire to do tasks themselves instead of relying on other technology or people. Overall communities are starting to eat healthier and have deeper interests in what is good for our bodies by relying on natural and organic products which supports the Naturanic idea of going back to our natural roots and adapting it to our daily lives.
