Success Stories A NEW STUDENT PROGRESS REPORT: Lluvia began violin lessons in October, and has made tremendous progress in a very short time. She is always early to class, and practices her music weekly, She is meticulous, with memorization and gifted with intonation. I am thrilled to see Lluvia soar with the violin and her face flooded with joy when she plays.
A EXISTING STUDENT PROGRESS REPORT: Tyrone has been receiving therapeutic music lessons for twelve months now. He is energized with excitement and engaged with his music, joining music groups where he can sing publicly! He even wants to join a mariachi band! Ty has found a place to belong in the community and a hope filled path forward for his future.
THE NEED: There are hundreds of thousands of U.S. orphans and homeless children. We are beginning. The above reports are like before and after photos - from despair to hope, from sadness to joy! Please help us bring transformation to more children that need to know they are not forgotten and that people will make a way forward to healing and a bright future full of joy.
Thank You! 2021 has been an emotional roller coaster for our nation's most vulnerable children. COVID-19 added an entirely new layer of challenge for children who already greatly struggle with depression and suicidal ideation. The therapeutic music lessons you made possible for these precious children in many instances became the lifeline they needed to According to the Policy Institute at Harvard University: "Quarantine has shown lasting negative impacts on youth mental health. In the (micro) short term, mandatory confinement has raised levels of irritability, anger, confusion, frustration, loneliness, denial, and despair. In the (macro) long term, forced or mandated quarantine has been shown to produce post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in children." A recently released CDC rport states that suicide attempts among youth were up by 50% during Feb./March of 2021 as a result of lockdowns.
"Your generous support of our nation's most vulnerable children is truly life changing and life saving." We are not out of the woods - our most vulnerable children -U.S. orphans, homeless, and impoverished children are still suffering even more than usual. Your generous support continues to serve as a lifeline of hope, positive mental health progress, and cognitive improvements that lead to improved education outcomes. You truly are not only helping rescue and healing these abused children from horrific trauma, you are helping pave their path to a brighter future than their past.
We are so grateful, and so are they!
