WINTER ACTIVITIES

Le Miroir is a true winter wonderland, and Eleven provides endless adventures just outside our doorstep. One guided adventure is included in each day of your stay. Read on to learn more about our favorites. Please connect with the Experience Team to book an activity for your group.

HELI-SKIING

Since Italy is nearly at our doorstep, heli-skiing from Chalet Pelerin and Chalet Hibou is a must. Warm up with on-piste runs, and then take a helicopter to deep powder in the middle of nowhere (just how we like it). Pelerin and Hibou are located near three different heli-ski bases which access more than 40 descents. Runs are long, with 1000-meter descents on average (800 to 2,500 meters for the longest). Activity Duration: Full day. Travel Time: 20 mins. Level: Expert.

ON-PISTE SKIING

Chalet Pelerin and Chalet Hibou are some of the top skiing destinations on the globe, with 7 ski resorts located right near the Chalets. From intermediate to expert-only runs —the Chalets easily access terrain for everyone. The longest run in Europe—7 kilometers—faces the Chalets’ balconies. Activity Duration: 3-6 hours. Travel Time: 5-30 minutes. Experience Level: All Abilities

OFF-PISTE SKIING

Le Miroir is an off-piste skiing paradise. Take advantage of ski lifts to easily access backcountry routes. Wind through the magic forests of Ste Foy ski resort and shred huge runs along the glacier in Tignes, or simply enjoy a fun descent in the Lost Valley in Val d’Isère—perfect for off-piste beginner skiing. The nearby Vanoise National Park accesses expert runs too. Experience Level: Intermediate-Expert

SKI TOURING

The Tarentaise Valley offers diverse ski touring, from high peak tours to forest routes and easy mountain climbing. Ski touring is for beginners to experts, and your private guide will find appropriate terrain for each guest’s level and expectations. This activity can be practiced with ski touring equipment or a spilt board (additional equipment cost). Activity Duration: Full day / Half day. Travel Time: 5 min to 25 mins. Level: Beginner to Expert.

CROSS COUNTRY SKIING

Get back to skiing’s roots with cross-country skiing. All ski resorts offer easy access and beginner to intermediate terrain. Rosuel Valley (in Peisey Nancroix) is ideal for expert cross-country skiers. Ski around Ouillette Lake in Val d’Isère, and then join the rest of your group for lunch next to the lake. Activity Duration: Half day. Travel Time: 20 to 45 mins. Level: Beginner to Expert.

TARENTAISE VALLEE BLANCHE TOUR

The ultimate ski safari. Start in the Tarentaise Valley and head towards Italy. From the top of the Pointe Helbronner cable car, ski 15 kilometers on the glacier of the legendary “Vallee Blanche”—all the way to Chamonix. After skiing in the heart of Mont-Blanc massif, cap the day with a scenic heli flight above the Mont Blanc summit and finally land back at the Chalet. Activity Duration: Full day. Travel Time: 20 mins. Level: Expert.

SNOWSHOEING

Strap on snowshoes and hike into the wilderness directly from the Chalet, or snowshoe from one of the local ski resorts while using the ski lift to quickly gain elevation and discover various landscapes. Options are plenty, including easy, 30-minute walks, full-day hikes, and 1,200-meter climbs. Activity Duration: Half day to Full day. Travel Time: 0 min to 45 mins. Level: Beginner to Expert.

BIATHLON

Channel your Olympic spirit by racing on cross-country skis, then shooting a target like a real athlete. Fun and open to all, the biathlon promises thrills and spills for a family or group of friends who want to share a new winter experience. If not confident with cross-country skis, snowshoes work, too. Activity Duration: 2 to 3 hours. Travel Time: 30 mins. Level: Beginner to Expert.

ICE CLIMBING

Learn ice-climbing skills among unbelievable stalactites and ice sculptures. Accessed with technical equipment and a skilled professional guide, this Eleven adventure promises an introduction to an unusual sport in a spectacular environment. Activity Duration: Half day. Travel Time: 30 mins. Level: Beginner to Expert.

DOG SLEDDING

Get ready for a festive European ride. Take a dog sledding course at one of the ski resorts near the Chalet—perfect for non-skiing guests who want a short yet scenic ride. And if you are more active, learn how to drive the dog sled with a private guide. The beautiful Tignes Lake or Les Arcs forest serve as your training grounds. Activity Duration: 30 mins to 1 hour (half day in case of driving sledge course). Travel Time: 30 mins. Level: No level required.
