The spring 2016 Landscape Urbanism Studio investigate the juxtapositions of nature and infrastructure in the context of megacities development.
Based in Sao Paulo, the largest city in Latin America, the main objective of the design research is to develop visions, transformation scenarios and innovative approaches to urban design that are able to address the interplay between infrastructure and nature across distinct scales.
The Design Research focus on the development of design strategies and contextually based scenarios of infrastructure transformation, adaptation and deconstruction, widening space for nature and water in the city, while dealing with its future development and spatial liabilities.
