Contemplated measures for the March, 27th auction •
Some stakeholders and market participants have requested an ex post review of the price for the hour 8 (fixing at 2.999 €), arguing that such a price does not reflect the supply an demand balance of this hour

The good functioning of the market and the reliability of market prices is of essence to Belpex. We are investigating the possibility of a price reset in the interest of the Belpex participants and the Belgian market

We wish to give our participants the possibility to express themselves in this respect. We have the intention to organize a consultation meeting on 7 April 2011 with as objectives to : •

consult our participants and other stakeholders on the desirability of an ex post determination of a new price for hour 8 of 28 March 2011; agree with our participants upon a new price for hour 8 of 28 March 2011 to the extend such an ex post price determination would be found desirable; consult our participants and other stakeholders on long term measures to be implemented in order to prevent the occurrence of such events in the future.
