The Legend of King Arthur

There are many myths and legends in Great Britain. King Arthur was a very special king who lived in medieval times.

Arthur lived in an enormous castle called Camelot, where there was a very big, round table. Arthur and his knights sat at this table to plan their battles. They were called “The knights of the round table”. Arthur had a very special sword called Excalibur. The sword was in a stone and people said that only a true king can remove the sword. Many people tried to take it, but no one could move it. When Arthur was very young, he needed to find a sword for his brother. He saw the sword in the stone and tried to take it. It moved easily for him and that is how Arthur became King of the Britons!
