t’s summer. It’s a beautiful day. Grasshopper loves summer. It’s her favourite time of year. Summer is the time for the holidays… she can play and sing all day!

Ant likes summer, too. There are flowers, fruit and vegetables in the garden. There are colours everywhere! But Ant doesn’t play or sing. She’s got lots of work to do. In the morning Ant gets up early. Grasshopper gets up late. She doesn’t like work. She likes singing and having fun!

Ant does the housework. Her house is small and very nice. Grasshopper hasn’t got a house. She lives outside. She doesn’t think about winter. She likes singing! She sings all day!

In the afternoon Ant looks for food for the winter. Grasshopper doesn’t look for food. She sits in a tree and… sings all day!
