The Monterosa ski area spreads over 180 kilometres with 64 ski trails and 34 lifts. Without ever taking off your skis (and with the same ticket) you can go from the Ayas Valley to that of Gressoney and up to Alagna Valsesia in Piedmont. At Gressoney-La-Trinitè, lifts reach 2971 metres altitude at the Passo dei Salati, on the border with Piedmont. There is thrilling off-piste and ski mountaineering up Mount Rosa, up to the 4559 metres of Punta Gnifetti and Regina Margherita hut, the highest mountain refuge in Europe. From Stafal you can take a helicopter ride to Colle del Lys, 4252 metres, and from there descend to Zermatt.
In Gressoney-Saint Jean the downhill runs give you emotions close to ski racing standards, especially that of Weismatten where great athletes have raced. You must also have a try at the 25 kilometre long crosscountry Monterosalauf trail winding through the woods with beautiful views of the glaziers.
1040 metres altitude: a typical Alpine village. Tourists have been attracted by its being in the vicinity of the Monterosa Ski Area and by the presence of a cross-country ski loop and the recently built sports palace. Gaby has an ancient craft tradition: that of making “sock” (slippers)

Die Anlagen in Gressoney-LaTrinité bringen Sie bis auf 2971 m Höhe zum Passo dei Salati an der Grenze zu Piemont. Begeisternde Abfahrten, auch außerhalb der Pisten und Skiausflüge in das Rosa Massiv bis auf 4559 m Höhe zur Punta Gnifetti und der Skihütte Regina Margherita, die am höchsten gelegene Hütte Europas. Von Stafal aus bringt Sie ein Hubschrauber zum Colle del Lys in 4252 m Höhe und von hier aus geht es herab nach Zermatt.
GressoneySaint-Jean ist der Ausgangspunkt zahlreicher herausfordernder Pisten wie zum Beispiel die „Weismatten“, auf der auch zahlreiche berühmte Skiasse ihr Können beweisen konnten. Empfehlenswert auch die 25 km lange Langlaufloipe Monterosalauf, die sich durch Wälder schlängelt und immer wieder einen Blick auf die mächtigen Gletscher freigibt.
Der in 1040 m Höhe gelegene Ort bietet eine typische alpine Ortschaft, ganz in der Nähe des Skigebiets „Monte Rosa Ski“. Eine schöne Langlaufloipe und ein kürzlich gebauter „Sportpalast“ runden das touristische Angebot ab. Gaby ist das Zentrum eines jahrhundertealten Handwerks, der Herstellung der „sock“ genannten Pantoffeln.

Antagnod, 1720 metres altitude: an enchanting little village with an incomparable view of the Mount Rosa massif. A well known tourist centre with many easy downhill skiing runs, a cross-country skiing loop and ski mountaineering trails. Champoluc is the most important village in the Ayas Valley. Its many and very modern lifts lead up to the colle di Bettaforca, 2727 metres, where they connect to those of the Gressoney Valley.
Located at an altitude of 1332 metres, surrounded by pine tree forests, Brusson is the perfect place for crosscountry skiing, thanks also to the Foyer du Fond equipped with all a crosscountry skier may need: changing room with over 300 cabinets, application of ski wax, showers and ski hire. Important Nordic ski competitions take place in Brusson. In Estoul the downhill trails run through an enchanting landscape of woods, up to Punta Palasinaz.

Antagnod in 1720 m Höhe ist ein lieblicher Ort mit einem einzigartigen Blick auf das Rosa Massiv. Er ist ein bewährter Wintersportort mit zahlreichen nicht zu schwierigen Abfahrten, einer Langlaufloipe und Wege für Hochgebirgstouren. Champoluc ist die wichtigste Ortschaft im Ayas Tal. Von hier führen zahlreiche moderne Anlagen bis auf die 2727 m des Bettaforca Passes, der Übergang zum Gressoney Tal.
In 1332 m Höhe liegt eingebettet in Lärchenwälder Brusson, ein perfekter Ort für die Liebhaber des Langlaufskis. Für sie wurde das „Foyer de Fond“ eingerichtet. Hier findet der Langläufer alle Service-Einrichtungen wie Umkleideräume mit über 300 Spints, Anlagen zum Einwachsen, Duschen, Ski-Verleih. In Brusson finden jedes Jahr Wettkämpfe des nordischen Skis statt. Von Estoul führen die Abfahrtspisten bis zur Punta Palasinaz durch eine zauberhafte Waldlandschaft.

Saint Vincent is the heart of society life in the Aosta Valley. The Casino de la Vallée, the largest in Europe, is ideal for an evening of exciting amusement. Saint Vincent, (just as the neighbouring Chatillon) is the ideal starting point for a visit to the Aosta valley: Breuil-Cervinia and the Valtournenche skiing resorts are just a few kilometres away.
Col de Joux, 1640 metres, is a few kilometres away from Saint-Vincent, in between the Ayas Valley and the central the Dora River Valley. Vast flat land, covered with pine woods, it has 7 kilometres of runs of intermediate level difficulty.
