9 Lose curls? Tight ringlets? Beach waves? Afro hair? Whatever your natural curl type, we’ve got you sorted! We’ve gathered our top tips for growing strong, long, b-e-autiful hair…because we all know how awkward curls can be!

1. Buy 100% sulphate free shampoo and conditioner Why? Sulphate is the thing that causes shampoo to turn into a thick lather in the bath/shower. It is also found in soaps and detergents, but is way too harsh for curls. Prolonged use of sulphatecontaining shampoo can result in brittle hair, breakage and frizz. L’Oreal EverStrong Shamooo & Conditioner 250ml, £5.99 each, Superdrug

Benefits? Stronger, healthier hair and less frizz

2. Moisture, moisture, moisture! Buy a hair product to smooth through towel-dry hair post-wash and through the ends of dry hair in between washes. We’ve recommended a few that we love below! Or, try using coconut oil on the ends of your hair for a great, natural alternative. For deeper conditioning, apply all over once a week, leave overnight and wash out in the morning. Prevention is better than cure. So keep those ends healthy!

Organix Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum 118ml, £4.99, Amazon

Organix Moroccan Curling Cream 117ml, £6.99, Superdrug

L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil 100ml, £9.99, Boots

3. Massage your scalp. Choose a natural oil – coconut, olive or almond oil are great options. Massage it into your scalp for 510 minutes before your usual hair wash. Not only will this moisturise your scalp, preventing dandruff, but it also increases blood flow to the scalp, speeding up hair growth. Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil 283ml , £4.50, Waitrose

KTC Pure Almond Oil 200ml, £1.49, Superdrug TEK Afro comb, from £7.99, Amazon

4. Use a wide tooth comb or your fingers. These are gentler on knots and will prevent you from ripping out chunks of hair. Wide-toothed comb, £1.79, Boots

5. Buy a silk pillowcase. (Amazon, from ÂŁ9.99)

Sleeping on a silk pillowcase at night will help prevent split ends. Cotton pillow cases have a structure that traps ends, causing them to tangle and break. Silk prevents this and contains proteins which can contribute to hair growth.

6. Cut down on washes. Washing your locks too often dries it out. Dry hair is brittle and prone to breakage. Try not to wash your hair more than 3 times a week! If you need to, do a conditioner-rinse in between to keep your scalp fresh.

7. No heat tools! As tempting as it is, don’t do it! Excessive heat causes split ends and breakage. Let your hair air dry for beautiful natural curls and resist the urge to straighten. Embrace your natural curls for added strength and length.

8. Choose a bun at night. By winding your hair into a neat bun, you keep those ends tucked away safely. If left free at night hair can become tangled, causing breakage.

9. Trim hair every 6-8 weeks. I know what you are thinking. If I’m trying to grow out my hair, then why would I cut it? Trust us! There is no point in trying to grow out damaged hair. Eventually split ends travel up the hair shaft causing hair to break off. Certain hair products may be able to mask the effect of split ends but they won’t repair them. So girls, if you are holding onto damaged locks and wondering why your hair has been the same length for the past year, then this is probably why! Do the right thing and book yourself into a hair salon ASAP! 11 HAIR & BEAUTY

ways to beat those early morning blues “What do you mean I have to get out of bed?” “Can’t I just have five more minutes?” Yep, it’s those famous words spoken by almost all of us at least once in our lives. For those of you who are allergic to early mornings, here are 15 things to make getting out of bed more bearable… (Yes, it really is possible!) Yes, really!

Wake up to music! Set your alarm to wake you up with your favourite song. You will be midway through jumping on your bed and singing along when you realise you are up!

Stick a poster of something you love by the side of your bed. Let the first thing you see when you wake up be something that will make you smile – yes a Channing Tatum poster is fine!

No favourite poster? Don’t worry we’ve got it covered.

THE REUNION 2016 WHERE are our favourite stars NOW? That’s right! You guessed it. Some of the cast of One Tree Hill got together this month for a good old get together. Unfortunately Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton were missing from our bunch of faves but it still got us thinking, where are all our fave OTH stars now?

Haley (Bethany Joy Lens)

Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) Lovable Chad currently stars as war veteran SSR agent ‘Jack’ in Marvel TV series Agent Carter (ABC). He married actress Sarah Roemer in 2015 with whom he has a 1year old son.

Bethany divorced her husband Michael Galeoitti in 2013 with whom she has a 5year-old daughter Maria Rose. She continues to write and perform songs and has also appeared in TV shows Dexter, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and CSI. She also actively supports human rights, largely through social media.

Peyton (Hilarie Burton) Hilarie is currently in a relationship with actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan and is mum to 6-year-old Gus. She recently appeared in US fantasy crime drama Forever as Molly Dawes.

21 ENTERTAINMENT

Skills (Antwon Tanner) Now 41, Antwon is still very much on the acting scene. His most recent roles include ‘Ron’ in Fade Away (2016); a film about an up and coming basketball star and ‘Jason’ in American comedy season Black Jesus.

Nathan (James Lafferty)

Brooke (Sophia Bush) Sophia is a well-known activist, using her blog and social media profiles to fundraise and spread awareness for cancer and various other causes and reliefs. She currently stars as ‘Detective Erin Lindsay’ in NBC’s TV series Chicago P.D.

Believe it or not James is currently single after briefly dating one of our faves, Sophia Bush. He has his own website which includes all things James (http://jameslafferty.org/) and he recently starred as ‘Jimmy’ – who takes a job at a 24-hour diner after being laid off in the corporate world - in film Waffle Street (2015).

Jamie (Jackson Brundage) We can’t believe it either. Little Jamie Scott is now 15-yearsold! Since his OTH days he has had a few small roles. In 2015 he played the initial voice of ‘Foo’ in Nickelodeon show Harvey Beaks but was later replaced.

Marvin “Mouth” (Lee Norris) Cheeky Mouth McFadden is happily married to wife Andrea and has continued acting. He recently played ‘Officer Washington’ in Hollywood blockbuster Gone Girl and currently plays ‘Minkus’ in a spin-off of the Boy Meets Wolrd series Girl Meets World.

We

... Kendall

…and so does everyone else apparently Being one of 9 siblings can’t be easy, especially under the spotlight and we can’t help but notice how Kendall takes it all in her stride. It must be hard to stay humble with over 56 million Instagram followers but we think Kendall is doing a fine job. She’s modelled for Victoria’s Secret and Estee Lauder and is estimated to earn approx. $4 million US dollars a year. Earlier this year she was also photographed for the cover of Vogue. Night or day, make-up or no make-up, Kendall always looks flawless and is certainly a natural beauty. Despite the negative response received from her fellow models - because of her status gained from E! reality show Keeping up with the Kardashians alongside sisters Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Kylie - Kendall keeps her head held high and stays true to a career she loves. She admits having a shy personality and prefers to keep details of her love life out of the media. She loves her family, especially her sister Kylie and she manages to remain unaffected by the crazy media storm and frequent backlash that follows the family. At the tender age of 20, we can’t wait to follow the rest of her journey. 

ria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer make an explosive return with more fashion, murder and mystery this winter and yet again, ‘A’ is not far behind. The pretty little liars believe their ordeal has ended with the sectioning and subsequent murder of Charlotte DiLaurentis, but Charlotte’s body is barely cold before the girls are receiving threatening A-style messages once more. We are treated to glimpses of the suspected perpetrator; a uniformed elderly man. However, the tables are not just turned but thrown out the window when we see him remove - not his uniform - but his face! Ingeniously we are never shown the true identity beyond the mask. So, with Charlotte dead, who could this new ‘A’ culprit be and are they responsible for her murder? The season has us riveted and we suspect everyone, including babyfaced Aria. Whatever we have known and trusted about her thus far is

…Season Six, Part Two thrown into question when she is caught lying about her whereabouts on the night of Charlotte’s murder. The devastation evoked by the thought that the tiniest pretty little liar could now be a cold-blooded murder is the epitome of unpredictable. Tension builds as the lines between good and evil blur and it appears that no one is safe and no one is completely innocent. As usual, Aria isn’t the only pretty little liar. Emily is lying about her mysterious visits to the medical centre; Spencer lies about her apparent feelings for Hanna’s exboyfriend Caleb, whilst Hanna tampers with police evidence. The girls can’t stay out of Rosewood and sure as hell can’t stay out of trouble – but who are we to complain?! The plot may be a little farfetched at times but the girls treat us to a rollercoaster of emotions and they do it while looking fierce – always. Image isn’t everything right? But in this show it definitely is, in a game of smoke and mirrors. 
