My name is Serge Lis (Eliseiev) I’m free-lance photographer

“ANILINE” Project Limited edition 60x50 cm Handmade Gelatin silver print (BW) colorized with Aniline on the Soviet photographic glossy cardboard paper dated December 1986 I'm the member of THE UNION OF ARTISTS OF RUSSIA from 2005 I'm photographer. Basis - is an analog black and white photography. I use old cameras such as TLR Rolleiflex Automat 6x6 Model K4B (April 1954 - September 1956),Carl Zeiss Tessar 75/3.5; SLR medium format camera Pentacon Six and 35 mm SLP camera Pentax ME. I shoot on black and white film, develop it by myself and I print my pictures in a dark room by myself too. Some years ago I colorized my gelatin silver prints with Acrylic. But I started colorize my prints with Aniline from summer 2013. Ideas come into my head sometimes in the night.

I think about it for a long time – 2 weeks, one month, six months, one year or much more. I write a script, select place, and find models for my Art on the streets, in subway or somewhere else. In my Studio there is a small collection of clothes, hats, shoes, gloves, scarves, and other different women’s accessories as well dolls and teddy bears which I use in my work. I am script writer, designer, barber, photographer adeoartist at the same time. It's a nice unique method of colorizing black and white photographs with aniline since XIX century(Old Masters of photography used this method for colorizing black and white Christmas postcards, Family photographs, photographs of landscape etc.) The main topics of my Art are Fashion, Nude, BW Still life and Fantasy.
