What’s New, Division 17? Our Club Officers! Elections

What was I looking up at?

As the school year comes to a close, the service year is just beginning. Before summer arrives, each club needs to elect their officers for the 2013-2014service year. Some have already held elections and some are appointing officers. Whatever way your club decided to do it is fine! What Now?

Once your officers have been elected, it is my responsibility to train them. I will be holding many Officer Training Conferences before summer and as soon as school begins to ensure that Division 17 has the most qualified and prepared officers in the entire state! Immediately following their election or appointment, all officers need to fill out the Officer Roster Form for Division 17. (It has been emailed to all Presidents and I am happy to send it to anyone else). This form is essential, as it will provide me with the officers’ contact information. In addition, this form will be used by District Secretary Kelly Tran to create the District Handbook.

Regional Training Conferences “Experiment with Service” at RTCs! By LTG Division 16 Erik Lim

RTC DATES May 11 9 A.M. – 1 P.M. Cedar Creek High School May 18 9 A.M. – 1 P.M. Bloomfield High School *(It is in our division!!)

Every year the New Jersey District of Key Club organizes RTC’s (Regional Training Conferences) in the spring and the fall. RTC’s are a great opportunity to meet new people from within your region, attend informative workshops on various topics about all things Key Club, and to participate in fun-filled icebreakers. Overall, Einstein told me that it is a relatively good event to attend. Schrodinger told me that there may or may not be breakfast and lunch and Heisenberg is uncertain as well. Just kidding, there will definitely be breakfast and lunch served, I’m positive. So when are RTC’s held? Periodically of course. This year’s theme for the RTC’s is “ Experiment with Service”. I was going to do a pun about Hertz, but I feel as if I do those too frequently. All the good science jokes Argon. South RTC’s will be at Cedar Creek on May 11th from 9AM-1PM and North RTC’s will be at Bloomfield on May 18th from 9AM-1PM. So mark your calendars, tell your friends, and get as excited as an electron can be for this year’s Regional Training Conferences!

Why Should I Go to RTCs? Regional Training Conferences are: 1. A great chance to meet the 2013 – 2014 Executive District Board
