Elizabeth "Libby" Endry, who arrived on April 2, 1981, in the coastal city of Pensacola, Florida, went on to create the beloved The Gardener's Cottage, a boutique in Gulf Breeze, FL, and Asheville, NC. Her boutiques are a testament to her lifelong passion for blending natural beauty with refined, artistic decor, catering to a clientele that values tradition and innovation. Elizabeth's love for nature was nurtured from a young age during her visits to her great-grandparents' home in Lillian, Alabama. There, she was profoundly influenced by her great-grandmother, who was not only a skilled gardener but also an accomplished floral designer. This early exposure to the wonders of gardening and design laid the groundwork for her future endeavors. She honed her skills and business acumen at Florida State University, where she earned a degree in merchandising. After a stint in New York, where she completed a vital internship, Elizabeth moved to Asheville in 2004 to be near her sister. Eventually, she took the helm at The Gardener's Cottage. Under her leadership, The Gardener's Cottage has become a fixture in the Historic Biltmore Village, known for its unique and eclectic offerings. Elizabeth's expertise is particularly evident in her specialized orchid arrangements, which grace many upscale hotels in the area, including the prestigious Grand Bohemian Hotel. During the pandemic, Libby pivoted to meet the needs of her community by crafting personalized floral arrangements for home delivery. This provided a source of comfort and beauty during challenging times and helped maintain a connection with her clientele. In her current role, Elizabeth focuses primarily on merchandising. She takes great pleasure in selecting and presenting items that reflect her vision for stylish, inspired living environments. Her meticulous approach and innovative flair have distinguished her in the home and garden decor niche market.
