utureScape returns in 2020 to deliver the first ever virtual event for the UK landscaping industry. The virtual event will offer many of the aspects you love most about FutureScape. Networking – the easy to navigate directory allows our attendees to filter and connect with the most relevant and important industry contacts. If you are a designer who is keen to locate a landscaper or a commercial landscaper looking to get in touch with architects, then using the filter tool will help you to achieve this. You can then simply contact them through the messaging system or schedule a meeting. Learning – FutureScape has always maintained a reputation for its exceptional content programme and for having the capabilities of bringing together a diverse range of viewpoints from across the industry. The virtual event will feature a range of pre-recorded, live and interactive sessions throughout the three days. Be sure to add the topics you are mostly interested in to your agenda for reminders on when the session will start. Sourcing – the show will feature 100 different suppliers to the landscaping industry. It’s vital that you visit these ‘virtual booths’ for better pricing, special offers and a whole selection of unique materials available to the professional landscaping trade. There will be scheduled times throughout each day where you can jump on a Zoom call with an exhibitor or you can schedule a time outside of these slots that works best for you. We really look forward to seeing our visitors gain value from attending the virtual event and as ever, we will be on hand to help along the way. So all that’s left is to register online now at www.futurescapevirtual.com – we look forward to seeing you on 17, 18 and 19 November 2020.

Roof Garden - London A smooth seamless look for this London penthouse This stunning roof garden for a prestigious residential development involved a 12-metre-long structural ‘ribbon’ that flows through the design. We made nine planters in a range of sizes that also incorporated seating, a breakfast bar and a freestanding ‘green wall’. All fabricated in 3mm aluminium for longevity and weight-saving, and powder-coated in Anodic Bronze, containing metallic f lecks to create a lustrous bronze finish. The challenges of installation were managed perfectly. View this project online: www.outdoordesign.co.uk

SPONSORS AND PARTNERS HEADLINE SPONSOR Vectorworks

Vectorworks, Inc. is an award-winning design and BIM software provider. Creating intuitive software since 1985, it has become the preeminent software built to manage the entire design process. Globally, more than 685,000 users are creating, connecting, and influencing the next generation of design with Vectorworks on Mac and Windows. Vectorworks is a part of the Nemetschek Group. Its Futurescape seminar on ‘Design Development’ will cover the tools of Vectorworks Landmark. Landmark is the only standalone landscape-focused software solution that allows you to sketch, model and document any size project. With intelligent objects, powerful databases and flexible documentation features, Landmark streamlines integrated 2D and 3D landscape-specific design, modelling and presentation workflows. Vectorworks industry specialist, Katarina Ollikainen, will demonstrate how to minimise the need for repetitive drawings, for example, when the client suddenly decides that they want a swimming pool instead of a pergola. The seminar will also cover how to communicate design goals clearly and concisely to other parties working in a build to avoid misunderstandings and costly mistakes and will show how ideas and drawings can be presented to reflect the designer’s style.

Westermann Weed and Moss Brushes

Since the launch of the Westermann range in the UK, the demand for the chemical-free weed and moss brushes has skyrocketed, and at LAMMA 2020 the Westermann Weed Ripper was awarded a Gold award for Innovation. With many harsh chemicals already banned across Europe, it won’t be long until these are imposed here in the UK. Additionally, when pressure washing, the gallons of water required to remove the moss and debris also isn’t environmentally friendly. This is where the Westermann takes the lead. The next generation alternative, powered by an energy efficient Honda engine offers the same quality finish, without the use of chemicals or water. The range of machines has something for everybody. www.spapowermachinery.com/product-range/ weed-moss-brush.html
