Welcome Welcome to the second Pro Landscaper Business Awards â&#x20AC;&#x201C; the awards with a difference. The landscape industry is awash with some excellent project-based awards, which showcase the excellent finished projects within the sector. These unique awards set out to highlight some of the best-run businesses within the UK landscaping sector. But like all awards, they first depend on the industry to enter â&#x20AC;&#x201C; so thanks to all of the companies that have taken the time and effort to do so. Green-tech is the UK's largest landscaping supplier. It provides quality landscaping materials and wholesale garden supplies for landscape contractors, architects, designers and landowners. In 2016, Green-tech competitively tendered to be the dedicated chemical supplier to the Ground Control Network, and a formal partnership begun. It’s an annual process that Green-tech has won for the past three years, which the company sees as a massive triumph. Since then, Green-tech has built formal relationships with Ground Control’s network of over 750 subcontractors. These companies now source their chemicals and other landscaping products from Green-tech, which has added 4% to the company’s annual sales figures, and has contributed to an increase in direct orders from Ground Control. In addition to supplying chemicals to Ground Control, Green-tech also supplies Ground Control with technical advice and BASIS chemical training. When Ground Control’s client, Thames Water, were concerned about the use of glyphosate, due to the negative press coverage the product was getting, Green-tech alleviated these fears by arranging high-level briefings and recommendations for the senior team at Thames Water. This has since seen the roll out of bespoke packages for all the Ground Control contractors, which Green-tech can offer to other businesses if required. Ground Control’s Heather Goddard says: “We are delighted with how our partnership with Green-tech has unfolded. We have high expectations of them, but they’ve surpassed these at every turn.
