What’s the Buzz...
General Information
Martha and Henry went to the county fair. There was a sign that read airplane rides for five dollars. Henry said,” I have never been on an airplane and it’s only five dollars.” Martha said,” Five dollars is five dollars.” The pilot overheard Martha and Henry. He told them he would take them for a ride free of charge. If they said one word he would charge them five dollars. The pilot did loops and dives, and he didn’t hear one word. Henry said,” I was going to say something when Martha fell out, but five dollars is five dollars.”
While we haven’t had the chance to visit the county fair, we have been on a lot of memorable trips. We tried our luck at Potawatomi Casino and marveled at the beauty at the Chicago Botanic Gardens. Our visit to Lake Geneva for the Safari was a unique adventure thanks to the variety of animals we encountered.
There is so much to look forward to this summer. In July, we will indulge in the Ice Cream Social. August will bring us the Casino Luncheon, followed by the Oktoberfest luncheon in September. We are thrilled to be attending the White Sox Game and enjoying a lunch cruise on the Chicago River in August. And in September, we will tour the Valentino Winery in Long Grove.
Make sure to sign up early for the trips as they do book up quickly. Enjoy the warm weather!
