For one queen to another, this collection has taken inspiration from the wealthy French during the 18th century. Research into traditional clothing and interiors with particular interest in their queen, Marie Antionette and her flamboyant and eccentric tastes that lead France into poverty and the start of the French Revolution. By mixing traditional materials such as crinsteal boning with contemporary fabrics such as organza to create an interesting and witty collection. Particular interest has been taken in reflecting shapes from this era and modernising them into contemporary pieces. Textiles play a big part in encapsulating the collection with ruffles and bows featuring highly throughout. Other techniques such as digital embroidery, screen printing, knit and hand beading are also used.
