IPL Skin Rejuvenation IPL Skin Rejuvenation treats a combination of changes in the skin such as premature aging caused by exposure to the sun that can result in damage such as pigmentation and vascular damage. IPL works by emitting an intense pulse of light into the skin which is absorbed by elements with colour (chromophores) in the skin. The chromophores Ipl can target include melanin - brown (in pigmented areas) and haemosiderin-red (in blood vessels). Once the photons from the light hit the chromophore it turns to heat energy, breaking up these abnormal areas, but leaving the healthy skin unaffected. IPL Hair Reduction Intense Pulsed light (IPL) technology offers a medical grade, gentle, non-invasive, long-lasting solution for unwanted hair. Based on technology used for nearly a decade in the treatment of birthmarks, IPL has been performed safely for many years, effectively eliminating dozens of hairs with each pulse. Proven to be Safer for the skin than laser - that’s why we choose IPL as the preferred method of hair reduction. The Hair + Skin IPL will treat unwanted hair safely on most skin and hair types. As the light technology targets the pigment in the hair, the darker your hair and lighter the surrounding skin, the more effective it will be. Light hair or dark skin will most likely need a greater number of treatments. Please note: the treatment is ineffective on grey or white hair. The Treatment IPL emits intense light into the hair follicles. The light is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicles and is then converted to heat. The heat works to disable the hair follicle cells that are responsive for the growth of the new hair. The Sessions Multiple sessions are necessary as hair growth cycles vary and not all hair grows at the same time. Only hairs in the active growing (anagen) stage are treated effectively. There is also more melanin present at this stage in the hair follicle, therefore light absorption is greater. Over the course of treatments you are able to catch all or most of the hairs in the active (anagen) growing stage. Breaks between treatments should be from 3 to 8 weeks (depending on area treated, hair removal methods previously used, and quality of your hair). The Results Generally light skin with dark hair receives best results. Darker skin can be treated although slower results and more sessions are expected. Enhancing Your Experience With Us Punctuality - allow 15 minutes before your first appointment to complete your skin profile details for treatment and to relax and enjoy your introduction and consultation prior to your treatment. For subsequent visits, please allow at least 10 minutes to maximise your time with us. Late - your treatment is for an allotted time, so if you’re late, you lose valuable treatment time. If your treatment time is compromised by a late arrival we will endeavour to prioritise with you what you most want completed. Gift Vouchers - If you’re lucky enough to be given a gift card or e-voucher for a treatment, remember to take it with you, otherwise the treatment may not proceed or it will have to be paid for by another payment method. Cancellation - we appreciate 24 hours notice if you wish to change or cancel your appointment. Unless we can fill the allocated time with another appointment, a cancellation fee may apply. Packages will incur 50% redemption. Please note that once an appointment is booked unless we hear otherwise we'll expect you to be there. Re-bookings – remember to make your next appointment, ideally before you leave to avoid disappointment. Notification of Appointment - we will send you an SMS reminder the day before your appointment to allow for you to change, confirm or cancel your appointment.

Enhancing Your Experience With Us Pregnancy Safety - As a precaution, we do not advise you receive massage or body treatments during the first trimester. Safe at any time of pregnancy: facials, manicures and pedicure treatments are an ideal option. Refunds + Exchange - (please retain your receipt for proof of purchase) please choose carefully, as we do not normally give refunds if you : • Simply change your mind or make a wrong decision • Provide no proof of purchase • Products may be exchanged within 14 days of purchase if unopened. Skin Gym + Pre-Paid Programs + Packages • All salon treatments and prepaid sessions are non-refundable although we will gladly exchange your remaining amount with credit. By purchasing a treatment package and/or gift voucher upfront you accept the treatment and agree that you have been fully advised of the result expectations. • Prepaid programs/courses and packages that are changed or are not taken in full are transferrable once the individual treatments that have been taken is deducted at full price and the remaining balance is credited for the remaining period of validity. • Skin gym, prepaid programs/courses are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and must be used within that period. • Skin gym programs are prescribed to be followed in a strict format and must be regular to achieve maximum results. In respect of personal circumstances changing, it is wholly your responsibility to ensure you are able to commit to your treatment strategy. • Skin gym, prepaid programs and packages must be paid in full before treatment commences to be entitled to the discounted package. • Skin gym programs are designed to be used between 1-2 times per week over a period of approximately 3 months. • Programs are to be used in the salon which it was purchased and cannot be transferred.
