We shall provide good quality work, and be reliable. In Kleven we are serious about health, safety and environment. Our HSE work shall promote • a good work environment • preservation of the safety of our employees • the safeguarding against damages to health and the environment caused by products and work processes • prevention of pollution to the environment In this context Kleven’s businesses shall be workplaces where the employees thrive, where laws are adhered to, customers are satisfied and the operations are profitable. In our guidelines for sustainable operations and development, Kleven has established that: • We shall adhere to relevant requirements, both public and internal, regarding the environment. • We shall have clear environmental goals based on risk analyses, and programs for following up • We shall work continuously towards improving our environmental achievements • We shall direct targeted efforts in order to use the best environmental solutions for the vessels that we produce • We shall ensure that everyone in our organisation knows our environmental ambitions and how our business works towards controlling our environmental aspects • We shall actively communicate our environmental achievements to the general public This environmental policy, together with Kleven’s value ‘We shall provide good quality work and be reliable’, shall ensure that Kleven’s targeted environmental measures are integrated into a unified whole where business strategies, daily operations and the various needs of our stakeholders are taken into consideration. In 2013, Kleven Verft AS was certified by DNV to meet the international requirements in the ISM code ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004. Myklebust Verft AS is currently in a similar process, and is expected to be certified during the 1st quarter of 2016.
Goals for 2015: Prioritized HSE goals and meassures in Kleven in 2015: • Reduce number of accidents leading to injuries: - Falls - Crush / cutts - Eye injuries • Achieve an H value below the average result for the Maritime branch in Norsk Industri. • Sick leave at Kleven Verft should be 4,5% or below. • Sick leave at Myklebust Verft should be 5,95% or below.
Environmental goals for Kleven Verft: • Reduce the risk of polluting air and water • 90 % of all waste should be sorted • Reduce energy consumption by using more energy efficient solutions.
