BRIEF TITLE: Gordon Riggs Re-brand (Brief 4) Brief: Design the branding and identity for a gardening company, including both print and digital resolutions. Background: Gordon Riggs is a family run business with stores in Walsden and Rochdale. Initially launched in 1945 the family run business has flourished and become very successful. The business is famous for selling a wide range of gardening equipment and plants; the stores also attract a lot of attention during the festive season due to their extravagant decorations and lights. Considerations: Gordon Rigg’s has become well known with the older generation so the branding must remain similar to ensure that the target audience are not put off. Mandatory Requirements: The name must remain the same. The tagline ‘Inspiring gardens since 1945’ should accompany the logo. Target Audience: People who visit the gardening shop. Average age: 40+. Direct competitors. Local citizens. Tone of Voice: Friendly and professional. Deliverables: Printed branding identity. Exterior signage. Interior way finding and signs. A functioning website. Promotional materials. TV and print advertisements. An on-going documentation and evaluation posted to relevant blogs. A minimum of 5 design boards showing final resolution.
