BRIEF TITLE: Branding and Identity for The Late Late Show with James Corden (Brief 7) Brief: Design the branding and identity for the new Late Late Show with James Corden. Background: The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson is an American late-night talk show hosted by Scottish American comedian Craig Ferguson, who is the third regular host of the Late Late Show franchise. Ferguson has hosted the show for the past 9 years but it has recently been announced that James Corden will replace him early next year. Considerations: There is a lot of direct competition with other late night talk shows such The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Late Show with David Letterman, Conan, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Daily Show with John Stewart. Mandatory Requirements: The CBS network logo must be featured throughout all artwork. All sponsors logos/names must be featured. Target Audience: Existing audiences of The Late Late Show. Perspective audiences of The Late Late Show. Fans of celebrity guest stars and James Corden. Direct competitors of the show. Tone of Voice: Youthful, current and professional. Deliverables: Logo and iconography for the talk show. Branding guidelines. Printed and digital promotional materials. Mock up of the set. A promotional website for audiences to keep track of guests and watch clips. A YouTube channel for exclusive clips. An on-going documentation and evaluation posted to relevant blogs.
