Date 4th November 2014 Marketing Contact: Andrew Craske Email andrew.craske@leeds-art.ac.uk Tel 0113 202 8144 Christmas Card Design Brief To design and make 75 Leeds College of Art Christmas Cards to be mailed out to key College contacts Purpose Leeds College of Art works with a variety of businesses including governors, community groups, artists, suppliers, creative businesses etc. As a seasonal gesture of appreciation and thanks, staff here at the College would like to post a Christmas card to those that we work with. Mandatory Requirements The card must have a crafted feel, but look professional and artistic. You will be responsible for the production of the cards. The final cards must fit inside an A5 envelope. Content ‘Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Leeds College of Art’ Tone of Voice • A friendly and informative tone of voice should be used. • It should be professional, considered, and innovative whilst portraying the College as a leader in art, design, media and communications education. Concept/Ideas Please consider and reflect these words in your concepts and ideas: Christmas, friendly, creative, vibrant, specialist, independent, unique, innovative, quality, and contemporary. Please refer to the Colleges brand guidelines for further assistance. Timescales All submissions should be sent to andrew@leeds-art.ac.uk, or brought into the marketing office, first floor in Blenheim walk by midday on Friday 14th November Wednesday 19th of November- The Senior Management/ marketing team will shortlist the designs 20th – 28thth November - Production of the handcrafted cards Monday 1st December- cards to be mailed out


Winning Design The winning design will receive a ÂŁ30 voucher to spend at our College shop. We will also pay student ambassador rates of ÂŁ8.27 per hour for the production of the handmade cards and any materials required. An estimate of time required and cost of materials (approximate) must be submitted with proposed design and timesheets will need to be supplied.
