Swim, Splash and Slide Through Summer at HV By Alicia Dziak

Things are heating up and it’s time to cool off! Take a trip to Holiday Valley’s pool complex for an easy getaway that’s pretty much in your own backyard. The complex includes three pools— a kiddie pool, great for the younger set to splash around in, a lap pool, where you can challenge your friends to a race or get in a real workout, and an activity pool, where you can show off your serious diving board moves and your not-so-serious waterslide moves. Guests are also welcome to bring floats and noodles into the pools. Forgot your towel? No problem! Towels are available to rent for $1. Those staying at Tamarack Club can enjoy the neighboring pools and hot tubs that are reserved for guests only. What to do when you need a break from the water? There’s way more than just swimming at the pools, where a variety of games await on the deck. Choose from foosball, ping pong, giant Jenga, Connect Four, a putting green and Cornhole. You’ll surely work up an appetite after all this fun. Grab a table by the outdoor Cabana Bar and order up your favorite poolside fare. You can even add in a cocktail (or mocktail) to really give you that I’m-onvacation feel. Poolside service is also available for drinks and food— get everything you crave delivered right to your lounge chair, just like on a cruise! You can also bring in coolers, just no glass. The kiddies will have a blast

documentation to the county for its review. This followed a public hearing during which no comments were heard. Town Planning Board member John Zerfus, who attended the hearing to observe, suggested that the board, the planning board and the zoning board of appeals should now consider reviewing the town’s comprehensive plan. Town Supervisor Matt McAndrew agreed, saying the first step should be to ask each board to think about issues and topics that they believe need to be addressed. He also asked Palumbo to prepare an estimate

Mansfield Board Considers Cyber Coverage

By Jann Wiswall

Addresses Fiscal Stress

The Town of Mansfield’s board renewed its municipal insurance policy at its meeting on Monday, July 18, and is considering adding cyber coverage to protect residents’ data.

The approved policy covers all town property, employee benefits, equipment, vehicles, crime and public official liability. The cost of the annual policy is up $393 over last year, primarily because of new vehicles.

The cyber policy would provide $50,000 toward expenses resulting from a data breach of town electronic and paper files. The cost would be about $330 per year. As Randy Glenn, account See Mansfield Board page 8
