how to make wheatpaste
step 1
put approximately 1 cup of wheat flour in about 2 cups of water in a pot. boil on low heat
step 2 pour in more water as the solution dries up and evaporates in the pot. stir frequently, making sure all clumps are smoothed out
step 3 boil for 30 minutes or more, then pour wheatpaste into container for easy access in use later. if you intend to store it, try to store it in the fridge, since bottles of wheatpaste have been known to burst.
how to apply wheatpaste
step 1
use a brush or roller to apply wheatpaste to the area of application for the poster
step 2
place the paper on the area with wheatpaste, and paint over the area with some more tips
the less you put, the faster the poster dries. wheatpaste doesn’t stick as well to areas that are peeling or less porous
experiment with different ratios and application methods! this isn’t set in stone
