This report is a critical evaluation of the property development process that formed the foundation of the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games (G.C.G.). As part of this property development process I will explore the process of Front-End Planning (F.E.P.) and specifically how the elements of F.E.P. influenced the success of the 2014 Commonwealth Games. I will develop a framework in which I will determine the success of the Front-End Planning processes associated with the development of the Commonwealth Games. I will discuss in detail each of the stakeholders and the specific role each of them played in achieving the projects main goals and objectives. I will also highlight the complexities attached to Mega-Project’s and how these complexities influenced the outcome of the 2014 Commonwealth Games. I developed a critical evaluation framework based on my reading of relevant literature and analysed the elements that contributed to the development process.
