CHAIRMAN’S WELCOME
Welcome to the beautiful Sandia Resort and Casino. On behalf of NIGA’s 184 member Tribes, I want to welcome you to NIGA’s 2013 Mid-Year Conference. This Mid-Year Conference is held to provide Tribal Leaders with an update on important issues confronting Indian gaming. We will also highlight the Tribal and gaming industry leaders that are working hard to protect our industry and preserve one of Indian Country’s most successful economic enterprises for future generations. I want to extend my gratitude to the Pueblo of Sandia and their hard work to make this conference so special. I hope you find time to enjoy all that this facility has to offer while also understanding the history and struggle of the Pueblo of Sandia to develop one of the most successful operations in the world. I am glad you have joined us this week to help showcase our pride in the Indian Gaming industry. The information and issues that will be discussed at the Mid-Year Conference will truly set the stage for next year. Thank you again for your attendance and I hope to meet with you at our Conference. Respectfully,
