KEVIN AMAYA ’15 A four-year university was always part of Kevin’s game plan. He just wasn’t sure which one. After high school, Kevin enrolled in community college and pushed himself to complete two years of academics in just one. All the while he continued his search for a four-year university. As he narrowed his list, Elon rose to the top. A nationally ranked business school and the American Bar Association-approved Elon Law School sealed the deal for Kevin, a business major with plans to pursue a law career. Now at Elon, Kevin is taking full advantage of all the university has to offer – mock trial, club tennis and building lasting friendships with other students in the Service Learning living-learning community. He’s found an academic environment that challenges him and a community of peers and mentors who share his values. “It’s not just about what I can do here,” he says. “It’s the people I’m meeting, the network I’m building. I want to do it all and the Elon community is filled with people helping me refine my options and showing me how to get there.”

MARITZA GAMBOA ’14 Maritza visited Elon and fell in love. She wasn’t looking for a new school, but after a weekend visiting friends on campus she was smitten. The large class sizes at her own college felt out of sync with the personal learning experience she’d had at a smaller high school. The firstyear student couldn’t shake the feeling that Elon was where she belonged. And so she transferred. And she hasn’t looked back since. “I love it here,” she says. “My professors know my name, I’ve found outstanding career support and I’m starting a chapter of Relay for Life.”
The Elon Experiences Elon students connect their education to the real world through first-hand learning. The university’s signature program, The Elon Experiences, helps you transition to life after college and stand out when applying to jobs or graduate school.
