Accounting gives you the education to succeed at just about anything in the business world. Whether you want to become a CPA, pursue a career in finance or corporate management, work in government or become an entrepreneur, accounting can take you there. Elon offers both the B.S. and M.S. in Accounting degrees. The B.S. degree provides students with a strong background in arts and sciences and seeks to develop competency in accounting for entry-level positions in business and industry. The M.S. degree is designed for students seeking to become CPAs and work in public accounting. Apply to Elon’s M.S. in Accounting program in your junior year and begin taking graduate coursework in your senior year.

Economic Consulting (B.S.B.A.) Develop strong skills in economics, business writing, big data analysis and visual analytics to help solve some of today’s most pressing business and social problems. Economic consulting majors will use this training in exciting and fast-paced settings like antitrust, finance, intellectual property, health, labor, energy, and environment and natural resource policy.

Academic Programs: Elon’s rigorous curriculum is grounded in the arts and sciences and complemented by nationally accredited professional and graduate programs. More than 440 full-time faculty members teach in 60-plus undergraduate majors, along with master’s programs in accounting, business administration, management, education, higher education, interactive media and physician assistant studies; and doctoral programs in physical therapy and law. Elon’s four-year graduation rate of 79 percent ranks in the top 8 percent of U.S. private universities. The student-to-faculty ratio is 12-1 and the average class size is 20. All Business Fellows are awarded scholarships valued at $5,500, which are renewable annually as long as the student remains in good standing. Business Fellows Add an extra dimension to your studies through dedicated projects, specialized classes, a Winter Term study abroad experience in your first year and a senior seminar that includes investing part of Elon’s endowment or consulting for a company. Each year 30 business students are admitted to the program based on academic performance, leadership potential, business interest and experience, essays and interviews. All Business Fellows are awarded scholarships valued at $5,500, which are renewable annually as long as the student remains in good standing. Accounting gives you the education to succeed at just about anything in the business world. Whether you want to become a CPA, pursue a career in finance or corporate management, work in government or become an entrepreneur, accounting can take you there. Elon offers both the B.S. and M.S. in Accounting degrees. The B.S. degree provides students with a strong background in arts and sciences and seeks to develop competency in accounting for entry-level positions in business and industry. The M.S. degree is designed for students seeking to become CPAs and work in public accounting. Apply to Elon’s M.S. in Accounting program in your junior year and begin taking graduate coursework in your senior year.

Acquire a strong foundation in financial principles and practices, and develop analytical skills necessary to excel in a competitive marketplace. Learn how financial markets and institutions function in a global environment, and how finance functions in different types of organizations. Elon’s finance program is part of the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program (UAP), an international benchmark awarded to fewer than 150 schools worldwide.

Economic Consulting (B.S.B.A.) Develop strong skills in economics, business writing, big data analysis and visual analytics to help solve some of today’s most pressing business and social problems. Economic consulting majors will use this training in exciting and fast-paced settings like antitrust, finance, intellectual property, health, labor, energy, and environment and natural resource policy.

Economics (B.A.) Cultivate your critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills. Deepen your knowledge of the arts, histories and traditions of other countries, and become proficient in one or more world languages.

Academic Programs: Elon’s rigorous curriculum is grounded in the arts and sciences and complemented by nationally accredited professional and graduate programs. More than 440 full-time faculty members teach in 60-plus undergraduate majors, along with master’s programs in accounting, business administration, management, education, higher education, interactive media and physician assistant studies; and doctoral programs in physical therapy and law. Elon’s four-year graduation rate of 79 percent ranks in the top 8 percent of U.S. private universities. The student-to-faculty ratio is 12-1 and the average class size is 20.
