SUMMER ELSA LAW SCHOOL on International Investment Law
17-22 AUGUST 2020
Dear all, The COVID-19 pandemic has brought unprecedented disruption to the lives of individuals and families in Greece and around the world. For academia, the disruption has required sudden adjustment to familiar educational patterns and immediate adaptation to new ways of teaching and learning. As the situation continues to change rapidly, our top priority remains the health, safety, and well-being of our participants and everyone involved in our project. Therefore, we have decided, exceptionally for this year only, to turn the academic programme of our Summer ELSA Law School into an online legal course, labeled under the “ELSA Webinars Academy” (webinars.elsa.org). Please note that in light of the COVID-19 situation, and after careful consideration, the International Board of ELSA has decided to cancel all Summer ELSA Law Schools planned to take place this summer (“Summer ELSA Law Schools 2020 Cycle”). You may read the full statement at lawschools.elsa.org. Therefore, the ELSA Webinars Academy for International Investment Law will take place between 17 to 22 August 2020 via Zoom with a view to provide participating students from all over the world with the opportunity to learn from a group of experts from academia and legal practice. Our aim is for participants to gain a comprehensive understanding of international investment law and be able to locate and compare the various approaches taken by investment arbitral tribunals. On behalf of ELSA Athens and Athens PIL, we are very much looking forward to e-meeting you soon! The Organising Committee

That is the place, when the legal way of mine took its bizarre start, as I actually wanted to become linguist at the end of the school time (for various reasons). Although, international law, being my studies is quite splendid and easy to learn. So commencing legal studies I found out that international arbitration is the area I do want to improve myself in. With that in mind, I have gotten my first internship, specializing in investment arbitration. And That is just the begging of a great path I intend to tread.
