[Reo Eco District Master Plan]
| Goal of the Project Use one block to demonstrate how urban farming could be achieved within a community setting in Reo Eco District in Lansing, Michigan. Apply bio-intensive planting as a way to calculate how much food could be harvested within one urban block size and how many people could be fed by that amount of harvests.

AN INVITING GARDEN In spring, people prepare soil and seed in the farmland, as it goes to summer, people are busy in the farmland to take care of the crops and hang out in the central gathering space with the fragrant of herbs. In autumn, People celebrate the harvest with outdoor community dining right in the garden under the apple tree and surrounded by golden wave of wheat and oats. In winter, a big Christmas tree is put in the central gathering space and it’s time to celebrate the end of a productive year and enjoy the friendship within the community family.

In June, when people walk along the ramp, they will be surounded by all the different perennials with different color and fragrance, which makes the ramp a romantic road towards the beach and the nice Belleville Lake.
| Goal of the Project Use Oudolf planting style to mimic the nature in the urban area with ecological consideration to maintain biodiversity, to have year round interests with native species, to help erosion control and provide pollinator resources.
