PATTERN NOTES • It’s worked on the round from base (widest part) to top. • “2 PB in same stitch” is an increase. • It’s better to do the Face part before starting to decrease or it will be more difficult to do it right.

PAPAYA CENTER Star With [C] Round 1: 3 ch, in 1st ch: 9 dc, sl st in 3rd beg ch = 9 dc Round 2: [*2 hdc, 2 ch, 2 hdc* in next dc, sl st in next dc] x 5 times, sl st in 1st hdc. Leave a long tail and use it to sew the star to the center of the orange base (with yarn needle). Seeds Cut small circles with black felt and sew them with black thread and needle to the star. FACE (optional) Put the security eyes wherever you want. Cut small ovals with pink felt and sew them under the eyes with pink thread and needle. With [D] and needle, embroider mouth.
