• HISTORIA

La Ciudad Colonial fue fundada por europeos en América a finales del 1400. Es uno de los destinos más importante de Santo Domingo y el más visitado de nuestro país. Nuestra capital ofrece más de 300 lugares para visitar, tales como museos, parques recreativos y una gama de hoteles y restaurante de fina calidad y buen gusto. The Colonial Zone was founded at the end of the 1400’s by Europeans. It is one of the most importante destinations of Santo domingo and the most visited in our country. Our capital offers more than 300 places to visit such as museums, recreational parks ans a wide variety of hotels and restaurants of the utmost quality and good tastes.

Contamos con reservas ecológicas como El Pico Duarte, que es la montaña más alta de Las Antillas; el municipio de Jarabacoa, considerado Capital Ecológica del país, con su exuberante Salto de Jimenoa, Constanza que exhibe un clima primaveral todo el año, y El Parque Nacional Los Haitises, situado al noreste del país enmarcado en la Bahía de Samaná.

We have ecological reserves like The Pico Duarte, which is the highest mountain of The Antilles; Jarabacoa, considered the ecological capital of the nation with it’s exuberant waterfall of Jimenoa, Constanza with it’s spring long climate, and The Haitises National Park, located in the northwest part of the country framing the Samaná Bay.

El merengue y la bachata son los ritmos más populares y tradicionales del país, y el béisbol es el deporte por excelencia. Merengue and Bachata are the most popular rythms in the country, and baseball it’s main sport.

Los platos típicos de la auténtica mesa dominicana son: el mangú, la bandera nacional (arroz blanco, habichuelas rojas y algún tipo de carne), sancocho (un caldo espeso con siete variedades de carnes y diversos tubérculos), yaniqueque y pescado frito estilo Boca Chica.
