In & around
Ready, set, shoot
Come down to the improved and lush football grounds in your community to kick up some action. We have just finished leveling the grounds, fertilizer treatments, and extensive mowing for a nutrient-rich, green, and sustainable turf that will endure through the winter months.
Shade and shelter for mosque goers
Good news for the mosque worshippers! New canopy shades fitted outside the Mira prayer hall come as a welcome sign for the crowds gathering for prayer time. We hope that this will help accommodate residents, visitors, and regulars to the premises.
Bright and lit hangouts
The weather is cooling off, and the Mira 5 park and amphitheater are ready for the picnics, strolls, catch-ups, and close encounters with nature you could possibly have. Additional LED lighting at four strategic locations illuminates the amenity, creating a safe and welcoming space
Work it with etiquette
Whether you are a frequent user or a newbie at your community indoor gymnasium, these six gym pointers are the unwritten rules for all to follow.
Summer makeover
Community’s vast infrastructure and amenities got a refreshing makeover in the past months. Speed humps on internal community roads were given a fresh coat of paint. Damaged kerb stones and boundary walls were fixed, while a deep cleaning exercise ensured that the facilities for residents were restored to their former glory.
1. Dress appropriately
Wear proper athletic attire that is comfortable for workouts with closed-toe athletic shoes.
2. Keep it clean
Wipe down equipment before and after your use and limit your time if others are waiting.
3. Respect fellow users
Avoid playing loud music or talking too loud and disturbing others.
4. No place for pets
Pets need to get their walk outdoors, not at the gym.
5. Children under 16 not allowed
Younger residents are restricted access to the amenity as it presents risks of safety, misuse, and damage.
6. Snacks for later, please
No food or drinks except a personal water bottle are allowed.
rule refresher
BUG CONTROL
• Falling temperatures mean mosquitoes, roaches, and spiders are on the hunt for a cozy corner in warm homes. They seek food and moisture.
• Buckle up pest control plans. Ventilate your home, seal cracks/ holes, declutter storage piles and keep wet zones dry.
• Pest control in common areas and maintenance of bug zappers are being carried out as part of seasonal care.
THINK AND THROW
• Ensure waste bags are tied and placed inside the outdoor bins.
• Reach out to your security to get assistance to replace damaged bins.
• Green waste, electronics, and hazardous materials do not belong in household trash.
• Double bag if you find the trash bag is leaking or too heavy.
Here’s a section for your home, lifestyle, and personal belongings to ensure safe and clean surroundings.
CATCH THE LEAK
• Keep your eyes peeled for discolored/stained walls, drips, or puddles in bathrooms and the kitchen.
• Leaking water heaters can be disastrous. Watch out for signs of rust, mold, and mildew, that could snowball to ceiling damage or collapse.
• Get a home health check of plumbing fixtures to avoid unexplained spikes in utility bills.
PEDESTRIAN RESPECT
• Slow down when pedestrians approach a crossing. Do not honk unnecessarily.
• On an electric scooter? Slow down or wait for pedestrians/ strollers to pass first.
• Don’t over speed on community roads. Follow the speed limits. A fine of AED 500 and six black points apply for violators.

Service fee quick guide
WHY MUST I PAY?
Service fee defaulters impact the ongoing maintenance of the community, administration, common area insurance, management, audit, and expenses required to run the community’s common areas.
The community service fee is a homeowner’s annual contribution towards expenses that maintain the amenities, landscaping and security of the community.
HOW CAN I PAY?
• Your community portal, reemcommunities.ae
• Emaar One mobile app
• Community service fee kiosks at your community centre*
• Set up Auto Pay on your portal
THINGS TO REMEMBER
• Auto Pay must be renewed at the beginning of every year. It is valid only for a particular year's invoicing period.
• Payment reminders for outstanding fees are sent four days before the due date, one week and two weeks after the due date.
• Cash, card (including Amex), and cheque payments**
• Bank transfer
*as applicable
• Defaulters may attract legal notices and an eventual case at the Rental Dispute Centre. This could slow down processes for Ejari and NOCs for sale of property. In case of further queries, reach us on 800 EMAAR (36227) or write to us at servicefees@ecm.ae

HAWAIIAN SPLASH PARTY
winners!
Kill the Bill champion
Our energy saving campaign drew participation from more than 110 residents who slashed their utility costs at home during the peak of summer. We sat down with Sanjay Lahoti from Boulevard Crescent to find out what he did.
Your plan of action in bringing those gallons and kilowatts down…
We set our AC thermostat to 24-25 degrees and auto mode. Also, we have an RO purification system at home for drinking water. Additionally, we started collecting wastewater that the system generated and used it for mopping and cleaning our balcony. Did it affect
the quality of life?
It sure did. Our 11-year-old is witnessing the theory of saving water and electricity in practice at home.
Family support in the programme
Our son is not one to waste. So, when he caught sight of water wasted from the RO system, it was his idea to collect and use that water.
Tips for other residents to follow
Set your ACs to auto mode at 24/25 degrees. Don’t let the water run while brushing your teeth or while applying shampoo or shower gel. These go a long way in reducing consumption.
